I rather laugh, because this game now has an incident like this, but still doesn't have anything that even vaguely reminiscent to release.

It's funny because in Jay's new video he proved just how lazy Alex is, and how all these new features are just quick copy/paste jobs. Throughout the video every time someone begins to die from poisoning we see Senpai get down on the group and act weird; even if the person is no where near Senpai (like on a different floor). Jay just played it off as a bug, but we've actually seen this before:

In Alex's video back in 2017 where he talked about Senpai's sanity meter, and how killing rivals in front of him will lower his sanity and cause a bad ending, he showed us what Senpai would do if we poison Osana in front of him:

My guess is that the only opportunity to poison Osana was during lunch on Monday next to Senpai; so instead of programming Senpai to react to someone being poisoned near him, he was coded instead to react if someone was being poisoned period. As the only person we could poison at the time was Osana, and since we could only poison Osana at lunch next to Senpai, Alex took the lazy route hoping no one noticed. Except now anyone can get poisoned, so now Senpai will react and "try to save them" regardless of who they are, where they are, or what's actually going on. Hence the weird animation bugs Senpai was doing in Jay's video every time he poisoned someone

And this is why spamming your game with disgusting unorganized "spaghetti" else if code is like trying to patch up the fucking Titanic with Duct Tape.

In order for Alex to make Senpai react like he SHOULD, having the animation only when someone is being poisoned, then he would have to be constantly having the char running a "if student being poisoned in front of you do this, if not do that". Now, imagine it was a more complex action with more variables and conditions, then the "if else" would have to be checked multiple times for multiple scenarios. Now imagine this process is repeated for 10, 20, 100 students, all spamming the game engine at the same fucking time with "else if" checks the same way his fanbase spams him with emails...

Alex doesn't fix bugs, he just covers it up and sweeps it under the rug until it causes even more bugs.

Before I have a shred of hope in Alex was the option to change blood to flowers used in another game? Like I know pink blood is in DR, most blood in japan is black or censored.

And would you look at that Alex is not saying "ITS NOT A KIDS GAME, GUYS" anymore. Well he's gotta keep up with Fortnite, FnaF, Minecraft sex/violence mods and roblox sex/violence mods.

You are able to kill anyone with basically any method now? Took his sweet time, this should have been one of his very first goals. But still, congratulations on finally doing this.

Now we can only wait for an update on the thing which should have been waaaaay earlier. The freaking awful core gameplay mechanics, the progression, mainly the way of getting skill points and everything related. Some actually school related, studying, learning with fixed lessons. Or free choice of lessons but you have to attend the right room. I really miss some heart in those aspects.

The art work for the rip off Death Note anime looks really wonky. It's a little difficult to explain but the perspective feels off and at this point it wouldn't be surprising if Mullberry traces a screenshot from the Death Note anime (possibly the episode "Glare")

There's not much to really say about the latest build other than the fact that Alex needs to stop copy/pasting code to give the illusion of making changes. He did this once with the martial arts minigame by copy/pasting the delinquent fight minigame and now he did this with the note feature causing everyone to have kokona's voice.
Other than that the only other thing to mention is how he put in a rain feature (in the form of an easter egg) rather quickly after Jay said he wanted to see that in the game.

He thinks just because he recolored / merged two or more characters into one (in a very tacky manner might I add) that it means it's good enough to stand on its own and be a clever little reference to whatever "inspired" the existence of said character. I don't understand his thought process when he himself states originality isn't his strong point, but then turns around and tries to sell the idea that this anime-coated Hitman / ??? Idk anymore / etc. rip-off is so fresh and innovative. He's not slick.

No joke, it seems like every mechanic or even character he adds is from something else, making it the Sonichu of video games:
- Walking behind senpai and rival to ease-drop - from Persona (a game he says he loves)
- The whole game - from Hitman
- The Light Music, Theater, and Occult club leaders - These are the most obvious amalgamations of popular anime girls
- The "Teacher Rival" - literally that one character from Prison School
- The whole bullet hell magical girl mode - Touhou
- Penultimate rival - legit just Satsuki from Kill la Kill

I genuinely am struggling to think of one original idea he has come up with, while the list I wrote are the most obvious examples of stolen ideas that came to mind. When anyone is easily able to come up with a short list of ideas he stole, but has difficulty thinking of one original idea in his game, that should really make him question what he's doing.

But he won't because what he has been doing for the past few years is still giving him that Patreon tugboat.
