I think she stole the idea of "a species that can hybridize with any other species" from the Chimera Ants, but instead of a single "Queen" doing it, it's every Floraverse species that can hybridize with all the others.

Which is interesting in theory to have in a universe, but PK fucks it up anyway and most of the cast ends up as normal bipedal furries (to better pettle smut) or as one-off over-designed nightmares.

Every character is also a super speschul OC with weird designs. That combined with the loose species descriptions and hybridization means the classifications are essentially meaningless. It was a mess from the very beginning of Floraverse.

One thing that bothers me is...has Glip ever been clear on what species can breed with which? Flower cats seem to be able to mix with everything but like...according to ForFlora, not everything can mix with eachother but a majority of her characters are mixes.

Also the fact there's just straight up normal cats but no explanation for them.
