You got that list? Video conked out on me while I was watching it.

People include:

Gizmodo
ANN
Marzgurl
Jacob Chapman
Funimation
Funimation's executives (for tweeting about the controversy)
Gizmodo's Executives
Monica
Samantha (fake Swatting shoots their credibility)
Other dude who's bipolar (Off their meds, shoots credibility)
Rooster Teeth (Because of the cross of people working for both them and Funimation)
Otter Media (for being parent company of RT)
Sony America (For being parent company of Funimation)

So Yellow Flash posted this interesting tidbit:

TL;DW: Flash visited Funimation's Glassdoor to see employee feedback. Funimation is a fucking awful company according to said feedback, with hilariously incompetent management. General consensus is that the company's loaded with overpromoted morons who can't actually manage anything.

Other dude who's bipolar (Off their meds, shoots credibility)

Sean Schemmel. Voice of Goku. His Twitter has been on protected mode for a while now.

His main issue is that he retweeted the swatting incident regarding Samantha, then claimed he got swatted himself. Now there's some serious question as to whether his swatting even happened either. Somebody called his local po-po and there is no record of it.

As for Bipolar; please. I have fucking Bipolar. I try my utmost to not be a stupid faggot with it. I also don't "listen and believe." I "trust but verify" on serious shit like this.

I wonder if we're accelerating into another anime bubble burst like a decade ago?
No. DVD sales and broadcasting rights are the tip of the iceberg of the whole industry. Merch game is stronger than before. It's so strong that I think I have to eat top ramen for a few weeks because I bought a goddamn statue.

I meant with the anime/manga community as a whole

Well, you said "anime bubble burst like a decade ago." A very specific thing happened about a decade ago.

I mean, you might see dub sales dip out of protest or frustration. But I don't think you're really going to have a market crash out of all this. The biggest thing going for anime right now is simulcast of subs. Wherein the anime is subbed in English and ready to be streamed as it airs in Japan. That's probably what most hardcore weebs lick their chops over.

What Funimation oxymoronically calls Simuldubbing.... isn't (the idiots even trademarked the name. LOL.). There's a delay from when the show airs in Japan. It's a HELL of a lot faster than back in the day, but hardcore fans don't wanna wait that long to see what happens to their waifu.

Well I spent all night going through this thread and listening to that nick guys stream from last night, along with all the stuff I've been seeing first hand on twitter and this looks like a planned witch hunt that its almost unbelievable. Things that really stick out and make you question this mess

-the utter lack of control all these women have had on twitter and the aggressiveness of their tweets.
-some examples are of jamies violent tweets and monica basically telling people innocent until proven guilty only works in court....
-the fact that they all seem to know the mazgurl or whatever the dumb bitches name is that started this kick vic shit
-Monica apparently getting some of vics positions after she rallies to get him kicked
-the dumb bitch who faked a swatting to use against vic/his supporters was also apparently involved in the funimation investigation

and thats all I can remember because I've been up all night and tired as shit, but like come on seriously? how are these the actions of innocent people? and then monica made that sob story and said vics here friend and she wants him to get help. Sorry bitch but I dont remember getting my buddy fired to try and help him with his drug addiction, how does ruining a persons career help them exactly?

Monica saying innocent until proven guilty only works in court tells me all I need to know, they have nothing to actually prosecute him on and decided to just start a twitter witch hunt to ruin him. Like this guy by their accounts is a sexual deviant and pedophile, fuck his job call the police if you've got so much evidence. They should be rallying to get this guy on some kinda list or in jail, not just kick him out of his job so you can have it for yourself.

I really hope vic rams them into the ground in court, and we get all the juicy details on this shit show of an investigation funimation handled behind the scenes, and based on some of the stuff nick was saying there should be plenty for a good legal team to hit these people with.

Honestly the best case scenario for these women is they are telling the truth and vic is a monster, and they just come off as a bunch of crazy and aggressive cunts....

"Most notably, it’s been through the Risembool Rangers, an official Vic Mignogna fan group that was started in 2005 and is currently managed by Mignogna’s mother, Barb Myers, who goes by the name “Matriarch"

from i09 article.

His MOTHER?....jfc

Nooooooot as surprising as you think. The Ranger's Logo was also made by Vic himself.

Typically a great way to control the rate of crazies wanting to wear your skin or give you a pie with their hair baked inside so they can "be inside you" is to make the official fan club something you own and run yourself. It lets you better control the rate of exposure, and gives a great, managed way to see your fans and the people who like you. There's a few other "Rangers" including Troy Baker, Caitilin Glass, Steve Blum and Aaron Dismuke.

FUNimation also made use of them as there's an estimated 12,000 of them.

And both the company and a bunch of bitchy non-rangers just decided to declare war on their figurehead. With one of the biggest, screeching people among it basically stealing the crap out of a bunch of roles Vic previously held.

This was the vanguard that also likely spooked Pensacon into flaming out and becoming crazy too.

I swear, every day this gets more exceptional...

Here's a happy Vic fan with a gay pride flag bearing his autograph.

What a fucking homophobic piece of shit! :story:

EDIT: This is from Nick's GoFundMe, BTW. Which is bringing in money at a rate of about $1,000 an hour.

These are also the people guaranteed to stick with Vic no matter what. If even half of them throw 5 bucks at this that is 30,000 dollars. And you just know it will be more then that. This is your brain on Twitter. They assumed it would be another round of ass patting, likes, retweets and meaningless virtue signaling. At no point did any of them stop to think about what the second order effects would be. Life is not a hashtag, and nobody actually follows #believewomen.

What's sad is "Kavenaughed" is going to become a verb thanks to these whackos. "You hear about Vic? His coworkers went and kavenaughed him, and now they are getting sued"

Wait, does this mean his mom is also against him? I mean she is their leader.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Vic comes out of this being even more popular than before. Everyone fucking hates dangerhair harpies.

Uh... no. They're the originators of #IStandWithVic. Vic went on, said he wasn't going to change the fact he's a hugger and then asked people to help show support.

Marzgurl got the leaked screenshot and slapped it around with a #kickvic hashtag.

Remember, Gizmodo's in deep shit as is with the way they've tried to narrative control and not confirm many of these stories and have written them with this slant thanks to the contributions/pressure from Marzgurl and Jacob Chapman.

Right.

So after this all dies down, would it be surprising to anyone if Gizmodo announces "massive layoffs" over what happens?

I thought Sony and Funimation split.
