I'm surprised nobody has posted this yet. Ghost went on about Ralph for 10 minutes straight yesterday. Apparently he is up on at least some of the recent TRR lore as well.

the strange thing with ghost lately is his comunnity has been relatively calm, there's a bunch of shit that went down after the IC was created like chatroom revolts and a lot of other gay shit but the TCR community has been tolerable for the first time since 2016. its like all of the shit has transferred to Ralph now which I would say good riddance, ghost can actually produce content without needing others to pull his weight.

After Metokur's stream ended this morning, there was barely any user retention. It may have just been a lack of 'large' streamers, but randbot2020 barely hit 50 viewers. Nonetheless I would have expected a larger influx of users as I'd (anecdotally) seen prior. Did not even see many users viewing smaller streams. Rather I'd say it seemed as though all had dropped off the site entirely.

It seems very much as if you must have your own well established audience at this point as there is a very small user-base from which you can attract a viewer-base from. Additionally, the new homepage appears to make stream discovery more difficult for users, and therefore I'm not (yet) seeing much user flow between channels. Rather it appears users show up for the big streamers and leave, while smaller streamers may have a slow trickle in as viewers check individual channels they are fans of.

There's always blue collar work. I've done construction jobs and stuff before working alongside felons and other charges. Lot of places like that care little about your past. They just want you to show up and work. But these jobs do work the piss out of you too. I doubt he would have the energy to stream at the end of the day if he had one of these jobs.

There is work he can get, he may not like it, but he wouldn't be out of options. It's just breaking the cycle of a lazy sack of shit to stop being lazy that would hold him back.

I like this. Could I recommend using a 2 axis graph when comparing sitewide user drop-off to the change in viewers for other smaller streamers? The scale is too small otherwise IMO. Then again this is neat and I'm almost always too lazy to do work like this without being paid, so I probably shouldn't be complaining. Also, if you could dump your raw numbers every now and again that would be cool.

I have no idea what Stream.me was thinking with the changes they made to the front page. The only logical explanation is trying to hide the thumbnails and streamers they are embarrassed of (and who are a potential liability funding and operation wise) in the talk-show category away from the gaming section, but really ain't nobody there for that

Although some of that blue collar work is getting big brained in a hurry. Being a car mechanic means having to know quite a bit about digital circuits these days and how to debug them using an oscilloscope. There's still a good chunk of small brained gorilla work, like brakes and rotors but if the "money light" comes on, a sizable brain will be needed to figure out why it turned on and how to get it to turn off and stay off. I guarantee you Ralph does not have a big enough brain to do that kind of work.

Even stuff like welding and machining is going robotic and they're training new guys to program the robots more than anything else. Learn to code, I guess.
