How exactly does someone get to be this boring?
You know, I have been a fanboy (even though I have a vagina) for 38 years (not a typo, I'm old) and I have learned that this is the part where I just say "Check please!". (Also, I'm fairly certain that a film with a line like, "If you had a black light this place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting" -- has NOTHING to do with the SJW crowd)
This argument with Mare-of-the-Sea is weird. Guardians of the Galaxy is a SJW film? That's news to me. And they're soul-married to England from Hetalia and hate transmen. Lovely.
So far, they come across like your typical delusional SJW Tumblerite. How old is this person?
Yep, that's me, I'm SUPER offended by the existence of the mentally ill.
On a different note, why are all of these "I've discovered my CWCKi thread" posts written along the lines of "lol I don't care I love that you're paying attention to me keep doing it"?
Right on! Singled out for criticism (and incorrectly at that!) I win the interweb now, right?! Do I at least get one of the Infinity Stones?
I love how they assume that we think we are all perfectly mentally healthy. Ffs, we follow and talk about internet weirdos.
YOU'LL GET NOTHING AND LIKE IT
I also love how I explicitly talked about my schizophrenia, and yet I somehow hate the mentally ill. Which I guess could work if it meant that I both hate and am offended by my own existence, but I've been down that road before. I've moved on.
I agree with the assessment that we love to follow these strange internet personalities because we're all a bit fucked up, and we recognize parts of ourselves in these lolcows. The whole subculture is fascinating, but that's an entirely different topic.
I personally get really annoyed with the attitude of "I'm mentally ill and I don't have to do anything about it because everyone must cater to ME, because I am SO IMPORTANT YOU GUYS."
Peter and Pup reject options of therapy on the basis they can't "afford" it, even when it's pointed out that there are low-cost or free options for treatment. Being mentally ill sucks. You feel different and dysfunctional and you don't know why and you're measured up to standards you just can't meet and then there's the shame of knowing you're not normal and you likely never will be and the times you wish more than anything you could just get rid of it all forever, but you can't, so you do the best you can with what you have and sometimes it doesn't feel like it'll ever be enough. These kids seem to be in love with their illnesses and that never sits well with me.
The point of identifying what illness you have is so that you can properly treat it, not use it as an excuse to be horrible. I suspect they don't want treatment because they are too in love with the romanticized ideal of being the poor, misunderstood, mentally ill genius that will be shunned by the world, save for those who will truly understand them.
What a bunch of bullshit.
Will a winner badge fit?I win the interweb now, right?! Do I at least get one of the Infinity Stones?
Yeah, I have several disorders (autism, OCD, depression, ADHD), and the first thing I did when I realized I couldn't handle them myself anymore was to get help. These people that don't seek help, but instead wear it as a badge of pride/use it as leverage really make me sad, mainly because they are purposefully making their lives worse.
Are you sure you want a Tumblr baby? You could end up with something like this:But ... but ... a teenager hates me! I think that makes me a parent now!
