The guy who made the mod was on Ghost's show at one point and Ghost praised the mod a great deal.
I don't know who Ghost is (presumably some batshit right-wing talk show guy), but this looks hilarious.

these two videos should tell you everything about himI don't know who Ghost is (presumably some batshit right-wing talk show guy), but this looks hilarious.
I played DoomRL some months ago, made it up to the Cyberdemon only to die. Aside from the roguelike, anyone here ever played the Doom RPG? As far as I remember, it was a cellphone game and for what it was worth, it was pretty fun for what it was (though that may just be nostalgia from a memory so as far as I know, it may actually be bad).I have a feeling I'm going to be crucified but... how about that DoomRL? Doom the Rogue-like, not officially a Doom game, it's a top-down dungeon crawler, with randomly generated "dungeons" and a leveling system. Obviously it's "set" in the Doom universe (the first two). It was a fun little game I've played for a bit, I'd recommend if it sounds like your sort of thing.
I played the second DOOM RPG. I thought it kind of sucked.I played DoomRL some months ago, made it up to the Cyberdemon only to die. Aside from the roguelike, anyone here ever played the Doom RPG? Whenever I've made maps I try and focus on a particular central focus point. Like a fountain in the center of the map. Or a particular outer setionDammit, I wanna make an actual, semi-serious map for the game but I have no ideas on how the map would actually play. I mean, making a big room with bazinga textures and filling it full of Cyberdemons is fun and all, but sometimes you just wanna make your bazinga-textured map actually playable.

Have you heard of Zandronum? It's literally the new form of Skulltag, and while it doesn't come with the Skulltag bulk, it's compatible with it all.Doom is the shit.
My favorite megawads are Scythe, Scythe 2, Cold As Hell, and Unloved. I generally use Skulltag. Cold As Hell actually has a pretty deep storyline and Unloved does psychological horror about as well as one could expect from a modified 22-year-old game.
I loved Oblige, and even its predecessor SLIGE. Doom and some of its tools really helped me kick into a command line habit.Has anyone here tried Oblige! ? It's basically an automated .wad generation tool which allows you to shart out new DOOM levels and entire episodes pretty easily. The downsides of course are that it cannot make keycard squads and it really lacks the care and detail of hand-made maps but it's pretty good if you just want to kick back and have some DOOM fun,and can't think of any .wads to download.
wow How did I forget about that WAD?Found what may be the most autistic DOOM wad ever: http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Sonic_Doom
I've played it and it's kind of interesting but holy shit, the use of Sonic the Hedgehog elements (specifically monitors instead of regular power ups), and music from the Sega Genesis games. Also tons and tons of in-jokes that no one but this guy probably gets, and he doesn't actually know what the Seven Deadly Sins are; he doesn't include Wrath somehow, but has Vanity instead, which would fall under Pride.
I don't know, the levels are kind of cool but all the super-obscure references and.... for fuck's sake, Sonic the Hedgehog?
Some Doom 4 info compiled from some of the journalists who viewed it's demo.

I'd never seen this before. 2:12 made me laugh out loud.
