Furry Fandom and Drama General

Thanks to the H3H3 saga furries are in "REEE NORMIES" mode again. Case in point: A furry best known for throwing con parties is mad at "normie colonizers" in the fandom.

With how many fucking profiles on the internet and threads here I've seen, do people still play Second Life? Like that shit is OLD.

Second Life is slowly dying out. VRChat has been the new hot game as of late in that realm, while Second Life's aged clunky engine isn't helping matters. Other than a few quality griefing videos the game is like a lot of old internet relics, in a slow perpetual downfall with a userbase of aging nerds who eventually will move on.

Linden Labs has also tried moving people towards an incompatible successor called Sansar which has done hilariously badly so far as people ignore it in favor of VRChat or Second Life.

normie colonizers? lmfao, what does that even entail? on a similar note, what do you call uncle tom furries?
There are several reasons I think some furries are screeching over this, besides the fact that some furries think they're going to lose relevance or their power as new furries enter the field (and this has shifted a bit over the last few years for example). While they whine about commercialization of the fandom (most likely because a lot of them joined in on the communism/anti-capitalism fad when the fandom became hyper political) they seem to forget that most furries got into the fandom based on TV shows, video games, or movies they watched that featured talking animals. Who produced these? Big corporations, and furries happily ate up Zootopia when that came to theaters despite being made by the same company infamous for introducing the Mickey Mouse laws, possibly some of the most "big corporate" laws around.

The big thing they also seem to be worried about is the theory that "normies" joining the fandom would tone things down a bit which is partially true. Furry cons seem to have a reputation of being wild parties and attracting some crazy people and while Rainfurrest became a total joke outside of the fandom and even within parts of the fandom, there are some people who attended Rainfurrest who see it as the highlight of their time in the fandom. Rainfurrest gained a reputation of a con that let so much shit fly and in 2015 as the rest of the internet laughed at them, some furries enjoyed it so much they still brag about it to this day. When another PNW con started up that tried to be family friendly some furries who didn't even show up tried to even derail it on Twitter.

I think that's partially true. I think the real reason they're anti-newcomer, as least as more popufur personalities go, is the fact that the fandom is a very delicate ecosystem full of contradiction and dense bullshit drama, and the second you get people who are not familiar with the lore of a particular subsection, you get a very wide changing of he said she said semantics which most of them don't dig.

I'm all for furries being openly disgusting and 'queer'. It means hotels and venues won't dare take them in and they'll be forced to just stay on the internet or risk being called a deviant in the real world. It just gives people a reason to say they are disgusting fags who wanna fuck dogs while they shit in diapers to their face.

The furry who made that tweet, Neeerts, is a self proclaimed punk antifascist anarchist who supports punching nazis.

He lives at home with his mom. He does not like his mom:

He also provides more evidence that furries who decide they are trannies do it because they have a gender transformation fetish:

He used to be an ordinary heterosexual white male, but after he started hanging around with other furries into transgender transformation, spending lots of time role playing online and going to conventions in the US (he lives in Ireland) he decided that he was bi, then pan and now he's a non-binary.

I'm just gonna repeat something Null said and say "Get out of this fandom while you can"

Recently a celebration has occurred on Twitter recently as Resetera posts up a new rule that disallows child porn on Twitter and that Japanese Twitter has gone into an absolute tizzy over it, as well as a few westerners and that includes some notable furries your old creepy stalker man, 0r0chi speaking up about it as well.

That sounds like a South Park trailer for a Rob Schneider film. Except dumb.
