For someone whose brand of Twitter outrage is pinned to political and social discrimination against blacks, women, hispanics, and homosexuals, she's appallingly ignorant of the pains, embarrassments, and mis-steps that go into the journey toward equality. That's the thing about cultural representation (vs. tokenism or fetishism): the represented groups still get to be shown as bad guys, fools, and jokes, but now they're more often fully-dimensional villains, victims, and nutters. In a capitalist society, someone's going to make money off those stories, because they no longer belong solely to the minority group.

If she thinks that MtF folks are going to get a legally different deal to FtM folks under any North American political system (let alone under communism), she's in for some disappointment.

tl,dr: "In for a penny; in for a pound" ain't coming discounted for Miss Mary Thang.

If you don't like white people getting recognition for writing a black person's story, then here's an idea: Stop wasting your time sperging on Facebook and do some real writing.
