When his income was in the line he refused to report the pedo ring in youtube. Because, of course, he needed to protect his income so advertisement companies wouldn't leave and fuck the right of people to be informed while he was at it. But when it doesn't affect him, he is perfectly fine with ruining Discord's business.

You can see where are his priorities. Hint: It's not children.

Do people actually make money from Discord? (Not the company itself.) Keemstar was arguing creators would be hurt from adpocalypse 2 not youtube the company.

There are servers where people sell commissions and offer services. But obviously, they don't have a partner program like youtube.

However, I was indeed referring to him being fine with Discord losing money, but showing his teeth when it affected him directly. Honestly big youtubers like Keemstar aren't "struggling artists" as they have a lot more money than the average person with some in the million dollar range of money in the bank.

If it's about "greedy corporation" vs "poor little artist", I guess you could make an argument for "small youtubers". But I honestly doubt Keemstar is championing the little guy. He was just protecting his own ass.

In other news, this is some really wild drama going on:

TL;DW:
First video has some guy finding pedos creeping on little girls in the comments of their videos. His solution to solving this issue is to get advertisers to pull from Youtube, starting up another ad-pocalypse all over again.
Second video has Keem criticizing the guy for trying to solve this issue by hurting other creators on the platform. To him, removal of ads will hurt the majority of creators, not the pedos doing this shit. Keem looks into the guy some more, and finds out that the guy himself might be a pedo, or at least a huge deviant based on videos he uploaded to an alt channel.

That's not the full story. The behind-the-scenes is even more petty and stupid.

Matt, the guy in the first video, hosted several nightly livestreams after the video started trending on Reddit, taking in a moment to talk about what was happening. Keemstar (claims at this time) that he got into contact with Youtube to try to make a big stink out of this issue. On one of Matt's later streams, then, Daniel (I'm not calling him "Keem" because calling someone by their last name is professional, and 'Keemstar' is honestly kinda gay of a name) went into the chat while the Redditors in there were shouting out to try to spread the issue to literally every Youtuber they could think of. Daniel Skyped Matt, and started concern trolling about the poor little small channels and that Youtube already 'fixed' the issue by deleting videos with CP in the title (he literally says to think of all the videos that doing that could have deleted, as if pedophiles are brazen enough to just title videos "child porn" or "CP"). The chat started calling him out for being a sellout. Matt kept his cool, and Daniel started going into a full rage and called the mods of Matt's chat pedos. When he got muted, then, he started throwing a shitstorm about Matt "silencing critics."

Daniel then had his "team" try to dig anything they could to character assassinate Matt, and while he's editing the video starts throwing a tantrum on Twitter about how he's "exposed Matt" as a "fraud" (because he had an old Twitter. Not because of anything in Matt's video, or anything that logically defeats it) so when he found his old Youtube channel, he started slandering Matt as a pedo that wants attention (despite Matt not putting ads on his video, and trying to make people think he didn't have a presence online. Nobody said Daniel's goblins were smart). Now, understand one thing, Matt's "pedophilia" begins and ends with a shitty comedy video where he drives up to some random high-school-tall girl and asks if she wants to be in a porno.

Daniel "I didn't know she was 15 when she showed me her butthole on livestream" Keem somehow instantly knows this out-of-focus girl is underage, and takes this clip out of context to have his 12 year old fans go after Matt. Daniel shamelessly doesn't care about destroying Matt's life because the piece of crap only cares about his bottom line, so he starts goading his fans in the comments as well, directly accusing Matt of being a pedophile in them. Matt gets bombarded with little goblins and doesn't have the pawns to defend himself (the crux of suddenly going into the spotlight), and recluses since Youtube for the most part tried to fix the problem by this point due to (wait for it) advertisers pulling out. A few days pass, and the living argument for demonetizing Youtube starts collecting ad revenue like nothing happened.

Even with all of this extra context, it doesn't change the fact that I find them to both be pretty pathetic and petty.

This popped up in my recommendations on YouTube when I went on there to find some white noise to try and get some sleep. No idea what the fuck it is and am too sleep deprived to actually watch the video atm. But that title, if true, is some fucking big shit.
