I posted this in another thread. I'm unsure if it fits there, but whatever.
TL;DR
I got kicked from an extremely oversensitive furry discord.
I was recently kicked from what has to be the most circlejerking furry discord, of which I was invited to by a lady friend who has long since left it.
It was (and most likely still is) a very small discord that consisted of like, 9 people. The idea behind it, is that it was a discord channel revolving around the creation of an open sci-fi furry universe that anyone will be able to contribute to, like the unified republic of stars, or like what star wars used to be. Being a novice writer, I thought that maybe i could contribute somewhat to this "for fun" project.
The problem with this project is that every single race is over powered in some kind of way, and for some reason science fiction takes a back seat to magic and the mystic in general. Magic was more powerful than any weapon, different for each race, made space travel irrelevant, and even negates the existence of an islamic science based conglomerate of races (i'm not making this up).
I started out by trying to tell everyone there that they should try balancing the races, and maybe letting magic take more of a back seat in the universe. This would piss off people, and they would express how the thing was theirs, and that I should shut up. I would also be told that the whole idea was for friends to live out power fantasies. This goes against them saying how it would become an open source project for everyone but whatever. I still try to make suggestions about inconsistencies of the lore of races, but again people got offended. At this point, I gave up. From here on out, I would just shit post in the discord with family-friendly memes and rarely talk.
By this point, the lady friend had left the discord, but I stuck around.
It was peaceful until for some reason, one of the people there got upset when I dare insinuate that Jasonafex doesn't know how to draw, and after telling the guy "show me what he has drawn then", he shuts up and it ends.
But no, of course it didn't end. It becomes casually revealed that this guy feels that i'm just a liar. The discord owner for some unknown reason starts bawling about how she is going to nuke the discord if all of this fighting keeps up (nothing else happened in there for months) and then everyone rallies to her defense. Me and the guy I had a few sentence altercation with shrug it off, and we continue as normal.
Then a week later I get banned by a new mod because I'm just so darn aggressive and hostile, despite the only thing that occurs in there is either my shitposting, or everyone telling each other just how creative and cool they are.
So now I share with you this amusing story of an easily butt-hurt circle-jerk.
I wish I could have archived anything worthwhile, but all i got is the last thing the mod pm'd to me before i was booted.
