I think Nicky speculated in the correct direction, Funimation and Rooster Teeth aren't as much of a target and it is likely in their best interests to deflect any litigation. By deflect, I mean settle up with Vic's counsel and offer him a statement, contracts, a payout, firing the other VAs and most importantly zero struggle on discovery. As in basically offload discovery costs on Vic's lawyers so they can more effectively sue the backstabbing VAs ultimately responsible. Funi/RT get to play to the crowd 'We were duped by those evil VAs and we welcome Vic back with open arms!' and probably save money in the long run if they just toss the treacherous actors under the bus.

I think it really depends how legitimate the information Nick had about the companies getting mass approached and threatened by voice actors in order to get Vic out. If that's true, then not only would their communications be a goldmine, but there may be a lot of antipathy built up. On the other hand, if that was exaggerated to Nick I could see companies doubling down out of pride and/or trust in the "proof" the voice actors are touting.

Just to play devil's advocate, I'd simply point out that sexual misconduct short of rape has a pretty narrow statute of limitations. It already ran on the shit Marchi and Rial (and most people) are accusing Vic of.

But honestly, I'm pressing x to doubt on the existence of anything. It's painfully apparent that a lot of this bluster is meant to try and stave of litigation.
