r/childfree - Where child-haters congregate

How are these people gonna feel when theyre retirement age and death is staring them in the face and they realize they left a legacy
I'm not a fan of kids either but I gotta say I've never met an old person who was like "man i'm so glad I never reproduced!"
To be fair, people who throw the "I want somebody to take care of me" argument out make me laugh, because they're totally ignoring the possibility that their children could be little pieces of shit and just put them in a home anyway.

This wasn't posted on r/childfree, but it contains an example of the typical child-hater who posts there. This asshole harassed a special needs child who was excited over apples.

I have a hard time believing this. A lot of parents of special needs kids will try anything to get attention online. Customer probably just rolled their eyes and the woman made up he rest of the story.

I mean, to be fair, if someone broke my laptop I would be fucking livid. She shouldn’t have left it alone, but as a parent you have to watch your children in public so they don’t do dumb shit like this. I definitely think the parents are responsible for the damages since they’re the ones who moved the table and left their kids unattended.

I mean, assuming that all this isn’t fake. If it’s not, it’s one of the most reasonable posts I’ve seen on this sub.

Shitty parents like this are actually really common in my area, so I get the op's frustration. The parents are definitely responsible for the damages. However the moment she saw a fucking entourage of children she probably should have just gotten the hell out of there instead of wasting her time trying to reason with them.

All the people with the whole "I am sorry you had to go through that." Like, who gives a shit about the abandoned two year old, when stoner bitch had to endure the hardship of running off to be a permachild doing yoga, while people rightfully gawked in horror.

(I do sort of think it is a troll, tbh, though. I mean... yoga? Fibro? Portland? Really? It's like the Platonic Ideal Ruined Western Lady for incels to jerk off over.)

Can you underline where it says yoga fibro and Portland? I didn't see that in the story.

There's an obvious difference, though, between someone who says "I don't think I'm the type of person who should have children." and these idiots who are like "YOU ruined your LIFE for a CHILD? Ha! Have fun with your shit-covered hands while I keep going to bars and having F-U-N!"

If you're reasonable, no one cares. If you dislike children, just tell the parent you're with that you're really bad around kids. Be open to understanding why a kid does things. You don't have to fall in love with them, just treat them with respect. Pretty simple.

But these fuckers love wallowing in their hatred and flinging shit at everyone so they can turn bellow their hatred to whoever makes the mistake of listening. They're drunk on their own tardcum. THAT's why we laugh at them. Because they're hilarious trainwrecks of beings.

What bothers me is that I'm childfree/less for health reasons. I've got a range of issues, one of which will shorten my life, and it makes me aware that bringing a child into the world might not be the best idea.

If people don't want kids, fine. That's their choice. If they do want them, the great! Nothing more lovely than a genuinely wanted child I don't dislike kids, but I do admit I find some parents irritating, especially when their child misbehaves and the parent refuses to do anything because "teehee, muh BayBEE". I got headbutted in the crotch once by a kid and it was painful as fuck (unrelated but if it's even a tiny % what it's like for men then Jesus Christ, it's awful) and the parent laughed and shouted at me when I asked why they allowed it. But not all parents are like that.

I dunno, I guess my point is, I think there's more going on with /r/childfree than meets the eye, mostly that a lot of them lack partners who want to reproduce with them. It's sad and pathetic but ultimately annoying that these people are so considered to be representative of people without kids

Well, I think the issue some of us take with r/childfree is that there are parents out there that are completely neglectful. Like, no doubt. But you have to spend some time around kids to realize that a lot of them aren't doing things to spite you, and a lot of the scumfucks on r/childfree refuse to believe that and take it as a kid is doing it to torture them. Like all children exist to make their lives miserable and they need to be eradicated.

And they're smug as fuck about not having a kid. I don't think I would give a shit about them if they straight up admitted they don't want kids because they're selfish and want to party until their tits drag on the ground, but they do it with this air like they want to smell their own farts. It's a bragging session on who hates kids more, who was the rudest to a child that day, who made a kid cry or a parent rage.

It all comes back to being reasonable when you say something. If you just said "I really don't want kids, thanks." Then you'd probably be hard pressed to find someone in our current generation that hounds you over it that isn't related to you or clearly a MLM mom who is trying to sell you shitty oils. But if you see a kid and loudly start talking about how you'd never destroy your body for a troglodyte, they're parasites, etc. Then expect people who don't even want kids to tell you to shut up or make fun of you online.

It's not the children that bother me in cases like that. Kids are bonkers and don't know better. it's when parents cannot be bothered to do their job properly and correct it when their kids assault a stranger that's the issue. Parenting is difficult and sitting playing Candy Crush or taking selfies when a child is messing about simply doesn't cut it. There's no really bad children just some useless parents who shouldn't have reproduced.

I see she left out the part where she smirked at the manager and said they should've thought of that when they spawned all those little monsters. And also left out the part where the manager points out that they are trying to accommodate all of their customers, and there are no other accommodations for the large party, and the OP has been sitting her ass on that chair for the last hour and a half and the coffee residue's drying inside the cup.

But she did get the part where the manager gave her %100$.

Also, it's very realistic how her lawyer friend managed to get a"senior colleague" at a personal-injury firm to do a bunch of legal work for free for a complete stranger, and there was a complete security-camera record that fateful day at exactly the right angle to see all of this. And all this in less than 48 hours!
