DSP's Loan & Savings Company

This trip to see his parents is suspiciously close to his tax deadline given we’ve heard on numerous occasions that Phil can’t take time away from streaming for Leanna’s brothers wedding, or New Years, etc.

What odds would you give me that Phil’s folks bail him out and lend/gift him money while he’s out there and he claims he’s just able to scrape through this emergency.

He gets money for his birthday and they’ve already spaffed money on flying him and Kat out there on the apparent premise of ‘want to meet her and hang out’ - I’d happily bet my house in a gated community they bail him out.

Does anyone know what he was making at the height of his let's play "career". The only thing I've come across is this which claims he was making $120,000 a month in 2012 with machinima. This seems absurd and I'm assuming its a typo.

Given that we know he makes somewhere in that ballpark now, and he always complains about how much less he makes than back in 2011 and 2012 in his "heyday", he was probably making more like $150,000+ then. Which makes the amount of debt he has now even more breathtaking.

Possible, but that's quite a chunk of change to be getting. Let's be generous and say that he's set aside $8k of E7's gifted subs (SHUT UP AND STOP LAUGHING) and that the actual tax bill is really around $16k. His parents would have to come up with $8k lump. There are very few people who have that kind of liquid money that they can readily part with, and then you have to wonder if they would question how much income he has to have $16k+ of taxes in a single year. His dad, based on what's been posted here, seems like the kind of person who actually works hard and isn't a total dipshit, so presumably he can put 2 and 2 together to realize his son makes a shitload of money and is still asking for thousands from them.

I think Phil's just going to get a payment plan from the IRS on whatever he can't lump-pay and then ride that beg-mobile as long as he can. Look forward to a mid-July MUH IRS PAYMENT marathon or some shit.

Posted this once before in the mega thread but here is the irs info on payment plans for anyone who wants to dive in.

Personally been through too many of Phil's code red, all hands on deck, the sky is falling, Reemergencies that until something of consequence actually happens I can only see everything coming out fine. Fine meaning Phil will continue sitting on his ass being an internet panhandler under the guise of playing video games.

Having literally done a payment plan before, it's just not a big deal. You offer what you feel you can pay, they accept (or, I guess, counter with a higher monthly payment), and you fucking pay until the taxes are paid in full. There's a negligible amount of interest/penalties. Phil just wants to not have to do the monthly payments because he's probably gotten himself over a barrel with his CC debt.

Given that his credit is definitely in the shitter I wonder what he pays just on insurance on two condos and a new car.

The premiums for a car look bad on the bad credit side of things, but pretty reasonable on things for low mileage drivers or good drivers, and comparable to what I pay.
The thing is the WA car insurance image says drivers FORTY years old with bad credit. Phil is near 40 and I know for a fact when hit 30 your car insurance goes down around 10-20 percent because that's some sort of magic number for being a safer driver I suppose.
There's a ton of factors to consider just with a car but just off a little cursory knowledge, it's a newer model Camry and Renton was shown to not be the suburban Arcadia we were led to believe. This could put his car insurance payment alone at at least over $1000 a year if not more.
I won't talk much about home insurance because there are a lot more factors involved but if bad credit can almost to more than double the normal insurance payment on a car? In addendum, I once shopped around online, and found a lot better deals on insurance, with better coverage, by bundling things, going with a local agent, and paying for the whole year. So I wouldn't necessarily put too much stock in some generic online quotes. However, with Phil's nigh constant references to his Tax Attorney/CPA, if he did in fact have an insurance agent that he dealt with personally, he'd likely have brought up how he got such a great deal on insurance as he can't help but make his viewers know he's got the schmoozin' and hagglin' skills. Paired with his natural laziness he likely went with the quickest online options.

So DSP said in the past that he couldn't go to a doctor for his nasal drip since it would cost him $2,000 by his own gorilla math.

So how big is the Federal Tax penalty for a guy grossing $100K+ to not have health insurance?
$0 as of 2018 and he has insurance, just refuses to use what he's paying for.

Last night while trying to fall asleep I was thinking about Philliam (scary I know) and things that he could do to both somewhat redeem himself while making more money to save the stables. We all know he gets triggered by getting troll tips or cheers and when he’s not too stupid to realize it’s bait he just call them an idiot and adds the money to his total.

I think Phil should make announcements that from now on he will read troll tips as long as they are not blatantly racist or truly hateful (not the sheltered Phil definition), you want to make a wings meme, go for it, you want to ask how the gout life is, I’ll answer in a non condescending manner and not gripe about it I’ll just say it’s better thanks for asking, want to ask if Khet ran away? I’ll just laugh and say know things are great thanks for asking. You want me to give a shoutout to Tevin, Snort Burnell, or any other detractor, I’ll give them a shoutout and a shoutout to their viewers and that they’re welcome to come over and join Phil. Ease up on a geatapo chat and just moderate things actually forbidden under ToS and not anything and everything that could ruffle Phil’s light skin covering feathers.

Now this in itself could make a big difference but if he really wanted to do something smart he could instate a policy where if you include “Troll charity” in the tip that he will donate 25% of all the troll donations that include it to a proper charity and be transparent about it, have a counter up every week for the amount of charity raised by trolls tips. This would also encourage true fans to tip instead of cheering during this begging season and feel like they’re doing some good while getting to have some troll fun without fear of losing their long time Cuck account.

Now I know these are really far reaching concepts in the world of Dave but I truly think that it could help his image and raise him money without so much hardcore groveling which puts so many off. Additionally I believe the troll charity idea could help his taxes for the next year if it’s a proper charity, this is just going of my simple assumption so I could be wrong there.

I for one don’t like the idea of trolling the guy with money period but if he did something like that I think it would be far better.

So what thinks the farms? Am I being far too exceptional and Dave could never pull it off? Would he even try?

Feel free to shower with :autist:

I think it'd only work for the short term. Granted, that's all Phil ever considers, but the novelty of Phil reading out "SNORT KING OF WEIGHT ARF ARF ARF" would wear off fast, especially as detractors started using those as new clips for their videos. He might get a nice windfall for a month or two but probably nothing substantial beyond that point.

He needs the short term push if he’s to be believed.

1) Onion boi would never be able to tolerable even the lightest of 'troll cheers'. He's proven this time and again perma-banning folks for simply disagreeing with him, stating an opinion or correcting something he misspoke.

2) D$P would never part with a penny of his 'interactions' to give to any charity beside his own Ree-mergency coffer. He only begrudgingly spent part* of the Pay-me-tons shekels given to 'improve' his 'business years ago ( soundproofing foam and a new mic).
* keyword= part, as he did not spend the entire $1250 on these items.

I know it was a very optismitic thought but it would gain him some respect and partially redeem him in my eyes but of course it won’t happen no matter how desperate he gets. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

This guy is desperate for money. Evidenced by him selling his dvd and bluray collection to a thrift shop for a couple hundred dollars. Considering how big that collection is, its probably in the realm of $1-3 per movie.

But not desperate enough for TTS

What a topsy turvy world Dave lives in
