Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Is this guy really so much of an idiot that he is willing to directly contact a law firm that is considering litigation against him and not have a lawyer of his own present to do the talking? This is basic fucking civics here. Everyone should know why this is a bad idea. Everyone!

I don't think Beard is going to touch that with a ten foot pole. He's going to tell him to seek the advice of counsel. It's against ethical rules to contact someone directly who is represented (MRPC 4.2). There's another rule for those who are represented (MRPC 4.3). While it isn't outright prohibited, it's kind of a minefield ethically, and to refer back to a lolsuit-related incident, think of how Leonard French had to treat crazy pro se person Alex Mauer with kid gloves, and generally did not respond to his flood of insane voicemail and other attempts to contact him.

Beard, much like a mixed MAA dude being poked at by an epileptic retard in a wheelchair, is obligated not to take advantage of the fact that this guy is unrepresented and, frankly, more than a little stupid.

Doesn't Bennett the Sage have a huge hateboner for Vic? I seem to recall an episode of Anime Abandon where he chased down Vic's floating head with a baseball bat. As a skit, it seemed unfunny, nasty and cruel. (And this was done for a show that spent a lot of its time reviewing tasteless gore porn.) After that skit, I spent more time wondering about Bennett's state of mind than I did about what crimes Vic may have committed to make Bennett hate him.

What we see with the #kickvic Saga, is the culmination of a generation of kids raised on the self-esteem movement, social media, and never having to face any consequences for their actions. I used to doubt that it was possible for a kid to grow up never having heard the words "no" or "you suck" until they heard them coming out of the mouth of their first boss. But now, I'm really starting to wonder....

Bennett is a sketchy asshat who also supported Jew Wario. Also hes besties with Chapman I think?

Also hes hideous and fits the profile of stereotypical weeboo

It's not even a requirement to hate homosexuals per se. The commandment in Leviticus is to not have gay sex.

People tend to use Westboro as a strawman. Even the vast majority of mainline Christians hate them.

Vic isn't breaking any biblical rules in the picture you are using as a icon. Men kiss each other on the cheek in the Bible.

See above.

ITs not just The Westboro guys, the Catholic church also doesnt like gay people, but they arent christians to begin with.

Why in the mother of fuck would you hold on to an ace up your sleeve, that could've gotten Vic quietly escorted out of the building and never return?

Because it doesn't exist and you just made it up now when your previous scheme started falling apart like a bunch of flimsy fabrications.

What's the story on MarzGurl's husband? They can't even afford electricity. Does he work? Does she work?
I know he had a job when they lived in Texas. Then she forced him to quit it so she could move to California for her "dream job" in Hollywood of... putting closed captions in TV shows.
So she crashed at daddy's house for a time, annoyed the shit out of him and he kicked her out. Then she and and her husband found a place in a shitty neighborhood and MarzGurl got mugged and they had to move again.
I don't know if Josh has a job. People on Twitter warned her not to move to California; that wages were low and rent and taxes were sky high compared to Texas. She waved them off saying she was originally from California and that she knew better than them.

The bible is like a dark souls game, it gives you parts of a story and you make up the rest with your own interpretation then pass it around the community.
Thats not True, one of the very basics of Christianity is Sola Scriptura. Making up stuff is wrong and against the very basic foundation of christianity.

The poopdick is also called out in the New Testament (Romans, I think?) as a Bad Thing, which gives Christians a firmer basis for objection, since Rabbinical law isn't typically held as binding, hence the thing where they don't have to eat kosher. But that's may be slightly besides the point: "this activity is sinful" doesn't necessarily lead to "therefor, we need to throw everyone who engages it off a roof." (OK, it does for some people.)

Part of it has to do with the way that "hate" has become a SocJus chant word, to the point where anything but enthusiastic affirmation of someone's activities means you "hate" them. Not disagree, not disapprove, but hate. It's fairly Newspeak-ish, much the way that "tolerance" isn't merely "peacefully coexisting despite your druthers" but rather "affirm everyone/everything we say to, or else."

FYI, Ron's excuse for being dumb is because "he doesn't listen to Youtube lawyers."

Because no other lawyer has ever advised against talking to a lawyer who is going to sue you without first having your own legal counsel. And it's not like that's a good idea independent of jurisdiction.

The Catholic Church has openly stated several times that abstinent gay people are welcome. They just won't marry them.

And as for your "they aren't christian" comment, I'm not touching that one. I would advise dropping this. Vic isn't Catholic, so I think it's an irrelevant sidetrack.

But the bible isnt cut and dry, its mostly down to how you interpret the teachings and scriptures, we make of it what we can and thats what im getting at, pastors n such can guide us on how THEY think such n such is interpreted but its all learning off of one an other and everyone has a different opinion on these things, its just what you choose to take in and follow no?.

It dont get why so many christians have a problem with Gays, Yes the bible says it not a good to have gay sex, but thats all. You dont get to judge the sinners.
the whole line of going to hell for XY is also HERETIC, You dont go to heaven because your reward card is full and you dotn go to hell because you are a sinner.
Considering how vast Christianity is, it's complicated. But that's basically Vic's stance from what I can tell. "I think it's a sin, but it's God's job to judge you for your sins, not mine."
He's a very "honey, not vinegar" sort of Christian.

All in all the bible states it's a sin. So it all comes down to your interpretation of how the bible instructs you to treat sinners. That seems to be pretty divisive.

There is also a point that in Christianity Marriage is a sacrament, not a legal prerogative or relationship status. A Christian is not required to have any personal opinions about any gay person specifically beyond the basic pray for lost sinners mandate. But that's not what Vic was constantly getting asked. He was asked "Do you support gay marriage". Its the same trick SJW's play with redefining things so their narrative can fit. For a christian, Marriage is a sacred rite created by god for the expressed purpose of making a union between men and women with the intention of bringing forth new souls for Gods flock. Christians cannot support Gay "Marriage" as a matter of principle as it is not a union between a man and woman, and there is no chance for children to be brought forth.

This does not mean Christians need to oppose civil partnerships as a matter of law. But they cannot call those marriage.

So did anybody else here throw down for the Vickicksback GFM?

I normally don't do this, but I threw in a few bucks. Both as a matter of general principle, and because I feel I'm funding lulz that we can all appreciate.
I put in, but only because i believe the twitter court is sickening, he has a right to a fair trial, and because i really love how spooked the others are getting making their own gofundme's.

those "Christians" shoudl read a bit about jesus, He had no problem with beeing cool with sinners. And its not divisive, its Part of Christianity 101 just like the sola scriptura, sola fide, sola gratia and solus christus.
does nobody here ever go to church?

Shhh! Don’t let him know he is contributing to discovery. He also doesn’t realize Texas!even if he has a signed confession by Vic, even if the allegations were true, it does not in any way clear or win the totuous interference case nor business defamation. And if he has such signed documents, how or why does HE have them, and why is HE talking about them and using them as a form of clear defamation on his personal social media? Any such things would be property of Funimation or Rooster Teeth HR or Legal. You don’t get to take that shit home or wave it around. You sure as shit don’t get to talk about it or publish it on personal social media.

See here’s the thing in all of this. The big thing that the VA clique fails to realize. Vic’s behavior will not be a question before the court. The questions before the court will be were Vic’s contracts and ability to do business interfered with? Was there defamation? Was there legal malice? And has there been real quantifiable damages? “ but he’s a creeper, everybody says so” ranks up there with Mark Waid’s “he’s a Nazi” defense. For those following Comicsgate, this is why Waid wants the case out of Texas. Texas is very favorable to the Plaintiff in these sorts of cases.

There is absolutely zero credible proof Vic hates gay people, and quite a bit of evidence to the contrary, so an entire discussion about what other Christians think isn't even relevant.

The suit is going to center around the sexual assault accusation crap. And likely limited in scope even then. Funi and RT didn't overtly separate from him for the yaoi hysteria, which has been going on for 10-15 years now. Rational adults who don't want to tank their business laugh at that shit. Even in "at will" employment, denying somebody work because of spiritual beliefs is a bad move.

Let the fujoshi cunts sperg out and believe what they want (while laughing at them). They are beyond irrelevant in all this.

I think these people believe that legal proceding are like they are on the tv.....with a gut feeling that they actually think it's like pheonix wright.
The funny thing about that is that those idiots don't realize Phoenix Wright is making fun of the Justice System in Japan so they don't know jackshit.

I do wonder what will be the aftermath of the lawsuit though.
