/r/TwoXChromosomes user gets a girl kicked out of class for being pro-life

Of course the comments are circlejerking her for being so brave

R/TwoXChromosomes seems like Woke Fantasy porn. I mean how can you feel good about kicking a girl out of dance class for saying what she believes. Its not she know O.P was rapped. From her point of view it just seems like she are just a sensitive cunt. I think that's the biggest problem of Reddit is no one can see outside of themselves.

So what's the biggest problem with r/movies and r/television?
I'd say it's the same problem most of Reddit's big subs have - no middle ground. It's either this or that, nothing in between. And while it's not like you couldn't find interesting posts there, a lot of it is just old, safe memes that get liked to the top of the page while real insightful (or hell, actually witty shit) get burried under it, forgotten. Mayeb it's neat seeing a whole bunch of people quote GoT or the SW prequels in a row once, but seeing it everywhere, especially in threads that aren't even related to said fandoms, is tiring.

As a side note, the shitposting versions of these subs are also cancerous. I get that they had good intentions at first, keep the sillier shit out of the more "serious" main subs, but they are somehow even worse. r/freefolk (GoT meme sub) is where dead and tired /got/ memes go to get revived and shilled until someone maybe notices they aren't funny anymore.

There's a sun called r/CongratsLikeImFive where grown and adult congratulate each other over extremely simple accomplishments like "I didn't smoke weed today" or "I remembered to wipe my ass"

I think I found a central nerve of manufactured identity politics outrage.

I don't know what it all means, but I can tell you I'm exhausted trying to keep up.

Fuck, this whole thread is what I imagine a liberal college campus must be like every fucking day.

On some level I get this, when you're coming out of depression, substance abuse, or other mental health issues accomplishing small tasks can feel like a huge victory, and it takes awhile for them to become habits. But this, uh, doesn't seem like the best way to go about it, if someone posts the same thing often enough they'll cease to get asspats and doing daily shit can't be primarily for asspats.

The Bill Gates AMA (read- Bill Gates' intern texting him questions) was pretty dull, but what just fucking blows my mind was the amount of people gilding his post.
This man is a billionaire, the richest man on the planet (?) and you're throwing money at him willey-nilley because he deigned to look down from his silver cloud in the heavens and condescend to you, a mere mortal? Because there was a 1 in 500 chance that he might consider giving a scripted answer to your question?
This happens when companies and politicians do AMAs too, and it's ridiculous. The flock mentality is astonishing, the need to show off your status even though no one fucking cares that you can spend your Good Boy Points on internet stickers. The need to prove that you're better than what, a bunch of neckbeards and soccer moms looking for old GoT memes? Bill Gates, or Bernie Sanders, or whoever, is just sitting on his ass browsing reddit exactly like you, and yet you need to congratulate him like he's done something for you?
Blows my mind.

You'd be surprised. You know when you're playing a Super Mario game and you see coins above you, and you jump to get them? The points don't matter, their value is a 1/100 of an extra life. But jumping for the coins gives you just enough dopamine to feel good, so you keep doing it. All those Good Boy Points on Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter are surprisingly addictive, especially for people who don't have a lot of social approval in the real world.

This is true. It's great to have support when you're trying to over come things like depression. It feels great when someone tells you, you look good today, even if you don't have depression, but sometimes it's best if you tell yourself those things. Saying things like. Damn that shower felt great, and, the apartment looks nice and clean. It's best to make yourself proud.

You can't always find someone that's going to give you a gold star because you did the dishes. Taking a shower, getting on reddit to post about it and than wait for a few upvotes and spamming of GOOD JOB!!!1! 10 times isn't the healthiest way to deal with this. It's hollow, empty and short lived.

Bernie bro is supposed to imply bernie supporters have the political knowledge of college dude bros.

It's meant to imply they're all men, all white racists, all whatever is bad for SJW shit-for-brains idiots. The demographics of Bernie voters trends toward millennial women, actually. The "Bernie Bro" meme is a manufactured lie.

And specifically that they’re misogynist for not getting on the Hillary train fast enough

The thing about anti-vaxxers is that they’re an autistic coalition of far left hippies and far right “muh gubmint mind control” types who probably don’t agree on anything else
This is absolutely correct. There's multiple types of anti-vaxxers.

The kind who are middle class, college educated, live in Seattle, wear their kid in a sling, only feed their kid organic food? Yeah, those are nearly all women. I've seen tons of posts from men married to women like this asking about how they can get their kid vaccinated behind their wife's back.

The kind who are preppers or at least wish they were, love Alex Jones, own 5 guns, evade paying taxes? Those are nearly all men.

Anyway, doctors were demonstratably more shitty to women 60 years ago, but when the polio vaccine came out, you know what? Moms didn't come out saying 'no vaccine because the gynecologist is a condescending prick', they rushed to get it for their kids! Why?...because millions of American children had been rendered dead or permanently disabled by polio. Vaccination rates went up a lot in WA recently because they had a measles outbreak. People don't vaccinate because they've never seen the consequences of not doing so.

Lol, imagine thinking muh soggy knees are worse than kids literally dying.

Here, guy got raped and posted about it, but the other users scrolled through his post history and found he was guilty of wrongthink, so they decide his rape is cause for celebration:
It seems to be just that one guy who's like that though, unless I'm reading over something.
Also, looking through his post history as well, I can tell that he's a pretty sad individual. I'm glad he won't be procreating.

Whoops, linked to a specific comment thread. Here's the whole post: https://removeddit.com/r/askgaybros/comments/abcwal/_/
They say things like "Don't take strangers home with you." and "Well, you got drunk." But, I guarantee that if a woman had posted that story and she had gotten raped by a man, anyone victim blaming would have been down voted to hell and probably banned for wrong think and you'd see those posts in red not blue.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Reddit and it's users are scummy assholes.
