Rackets has become one of my favorite people ever.
Same here. I have a very embarrassing, girly e-crush on him now.

This is fucking brilliant. None of these idiots are taking it seriously and none have sought advice of counsel despite hundreds of people telling them for more than a month.
Nope, Jamie, the potential civil suit is not to scare people into coming forward or to sue victims into silence because there are no victims, only accusers with zero evidence or a willingness to give a face to their accusations. I think anyone who has direct evidence that shows that Vic engaged in serious misconduct has nothing to fear. It's hard to believe she's so dumb but here we are, and I hope she one day understands how she was a useful idiot to people who are equally idiotic and who will not lend her much of a hand if Vic's attorneys decide there is a strong case against her.
The best part about all of this is that they really don't understand the legal issues with what they have done. They have come to think that "listen and believe" is a legal and social fiat that gives everyone everywhere the right to say what they want when they want about who they want and have zero pushback, and those who do pushback are labeled Nazis and themselves then subject to a whisper campaign. That is not how the rest of the world works and it definitely is not how the legal system works.
The toxic mess permitted on Twitter is a closed system now, one wherein common sense has little value. Staying in such a self-affirming environment leads one to think that even the court system will fasten Vic to a dunking chair and if he isn't guilty he'll die a noble death. If he is guilty, he'll use his powers to escape drowning and kiss-rape the cheeks of every fangirl who queues for hours to meet him, an unstoppable force of continual sexual assault cloaked in Christian magnetism. It's going to be a terrible shock to a lot of very useless people when papers are filed, summonses issued and repercussions levied.
As a side note, I still am shocked when I realize this shit is happening. Systems based on proving innocence rather than guilt have historically worked against women and minorities far more than the white men the left demonizes. Any person interested in social justice should abhor this sort of justice via veiled accusations of wrong-doing that make those who want proof seem like authoritarian fascist rape monsters. And it makes me feel a bit better that the best asset to an egalitarian society - an impartial court that demands one prove guilt or wrong doing - may be the undoing of the more toxic elements of the #metoo movement who have taken this ball and run with it without ever thinking back to the way such tactics were historically used against people like them.
Edited because I get these women confused with one another...
