He even changed his Twitter Bio, Shane you aren't smart enough for that. You've made an ass of yourself consistently since the Rekieta stream (before it too but anyway), you've nuked most of your twitter and privated your Facebook just because people make fun of you. It doesn't take much to bully off the internet, does it?
I'm not even sure what his bio is trying to say.

If no other defendant is in California, Nick's right that it probably ends up in the Eastern District unless Ty advises he file it in state court.

MarzGurl is in Commiefornia. But Nick specifically was talking about her when he was talking about a bluehair up on the stand in front of a Texas jury. The "in" is that she was fucking with his business prospects in Texas.

I'm amazed that Funimation hasn't told them all to shut the fuck up already.

Funimation ain't gonna be defending them legally on this shit. I think Nick is right that there's a very good chance they settle, and let the spergs hang in the wind.

Or, even if they don't settle, they're still gonna let them fend for themselves anyways.

There's no guarantee anyone gets sued.

True. However there is, at a minimum, a extremely good chance that the threat becomes so serious that one or more parties enter into informal negotiations with Ty in an effort to head this off.

That might actually be going on right now, for all we know.

He deleted a bit >2587 tweets.
Oh boy... deleting evidence in light of potential litigation?

All it'd take is a subpoena to Twitter, and Vic's counsel could have all of those tweets...

Alright now im bored of the shit-taking/sperg phase when are these sped gonna get sued? I wanna see some high quality chimpouts

Pretty sure the plan is to avoid going through a suit hence the sort of reliance on someone like Nick saying hey ifVic's sues you this is how he can, these are his lawyers and their qualifications, this is probably not worth's Funimation, Sony, or RoosterTeeth's money, time, and image if a suit is filed, etc. It's a pressure campaign. They're saying we're willing and able to push it to the next level. How about you guys?

Yeah, I get that, I'm just not sure what he's getting at. Is he claiming just because Jamie and Monica tweeted about Vic and he was fired, it doesn't mean they caused it? Because that's utterly exceptional and not what the fallacy is about. We're not accusing them of being involved just because he was fired after they spoke up, we're accusing them of being involved because they straight up have connections to people with the power to hire and fire in Funi and their buttbuddies got Vic's roles.

Or is he talking about himself?

Oh for sure Funimation will throw them under a bus but Funimation is a potential defendant and these spergs being unable to shut up potentially damages Funimation's position, pushing them to settle on terms more favourable to Vic.

I'm amazed that their lawyers (or their insurers) aren't shrieking at any employees who are even commenting on this at the moment. They can't do much about stupid spouses or stupid friends who won't shut their mouths, but they can't do something about their own employees.

Insurers generally refuse to indemnify people for intentional torts. Insurance is to cover the costs of defending actions stemming out of negligence, not things you do on purpose.

I think they can ask them to shut the fuck up, but I'm not sure they can compel them to shut the fuck up. It depends on what's in their contract.

Their main recourse would be to separate from them like they did with Vic. However, from their point of view, they could very well be holding that back as a bargaining chip to use with Ty.

Plus, I think this whole thing is largely in uncharted waters. I don't know if any company has caved to a metoo, and then "uncaved" to a metoo before. They probably think that carries risks of its own.

Nevermind the fact that these same voice acting spergs of RWBY (particularly Jen Brown) implicated Rooster Teeth in this too.

And Ron Toye (Ron Soy), Monica Rial's husband, just can't shut the fuck up on Twitter to the point where he's now a liability to these people. All his stupid tweets are archived.

And there's a little special something about Chris Sabat as well, but I might just leave that to Nick Rekieta and Vic's lawyers.

I'm not sure what "harassment or discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status or socioeconomic status" Perry Mason thinks Ty is engaging in, but I do hope he tells us. It's not harassment anyway, much less on the basis outlined.

If Ty had said "we're gonna sue this person, this person and this person" on TV or in a podcast and Vic's fans had swarmed those people, it still wouldn't be harassment.

He'll be trying to report Ty and Nick for attending the same wedding next.

And some of them are from after he became aware that lawyers have entered the picture, which is perfectly goddamn delightful to be sure.

I'm really looking forward to Soye Boye's argument that "We will be in touch" constituted sanctionable conduct under MRPC 8.4.

Is this another episode of "Let's Google shit because WTF we're law experts now."?

Could you imagine what happens if Ron's claim of instigating harassment from Ty is legitimate now? Anything could be called harassment.

And does he not realize what he's doing to the voice actors he associated with be defining "harassment" in this way?

I want to by a fly on the wall to see this dumbass call Ty tomorrow and see how he'll phrase this.

This whole thing is giving me flashbacks to "Team Harpy", two librarian women who went around telling people that some dude librarian was a creepy sex pervert at librarian events. The dude, not enjoying having people going around calling him a literal sex predator, sued for libel. They proceeded to do basically everything that's going on here, they came up with their catchy Team Harpy name, collected asspats on Twitter for being so brave, and got a crowdfunded legal defense fund to save them from this evil creeper.

Guess what happened?

God, the actual first #MeToo attempt, before it was popular, was a complete failure. This is great.
