It's like one of those stupid dipping bird toys that dip their beaks into a liquid and then come back.
When the innate lolcow addiction to attention exceeds their anger and fear at being mocked, they inevitably unprotect. Then as they get sated on that attention and the mockery starts to get to them again, they duck back under the block.
And so the lolcow cycle repeats.
