Do habitual liars start with lying to themselves? Do they think if they lie enough reality will warp around them to accommodate them?

The thing is, they don't think they're lying. There will be a couple of knowing liars in there, but nearly all the rest of them will have just made assumptions and cognitive leaps to make them think they're right.

People can point out they have no real proof, but to them, there's all the rumours and women have come forward and that's enough. They think there's smoking guns, that there is evidence, and that it's all out there to see. It's not even that they necessarily think the evidence already out there is enough - they likely believe that there's solid video and audio evidence that exists that shows Vic undeniably assaulting women and girls. As we saw with Covington, people will read into things what they want to see, and will take stories as truth, and make assumptions and see things that aren't there.

It's a common enough thing - everyone does it. But people in bubbles are especially prone to it, because they feed off each other, so rumours and speculation becomes fact, and anything to the contrary gets dismissed as being bad faith, or from trolls, or just from The Enemy. And in SJW Listen and Believe circles, it gets even worse, because anything about assault becomes instantly true, and any actions from the women involved - reporting it, not reporting it, avoiding the alleged perpetrator, being friendly with them, not having any details, not having any evidence - all gets described as part of how victims process. Which also means challenging any part of the story means you're not Listen and Believing, which makes you part of the problem, and usually just as bad as the perpetrator.

In this case they're being particularly bad and blatantly wrong, like with how they think Nick's not a lawyer, or he's breaking lawyer rules by his conduct. But to them, women have come forward and said bad things about Vic, and there's apparently several videos demonstrating that. They don't watch the videos, they don't believe the first one from meepy girl was edited, they just think that there's proof. So they're dumb, and incurious, and caught up in a self-reinforcing bubble ... but most of them don't think they're lying.

And why would they need to lie? They're right, and being a SJW means never, ever being wrong.

Something new I heard on there was that MarzGurl has an Anti-Vic thread on ResetEra.

Yeah shes basically been doing the same thing as on the PULL thread, trying to gather support. Now shes basically going damage control.
"Okay, okay maybe the SWATing was fake and the accounts turn out to be out of context, but all those rumors can't be just lies right? Believe victims!"

Apparently this experience is so harrowing for victims, now people are making up joke videos.

How come the cops haven't come for Vic if they have video proof? Why isn't he in jail already if said evidence is so damning? ?

Exactly. At the very least, there would be a public statement that he was wanted for questioning. Look at what happened with Jussie Smollett. When they wanted Jussie to come in for questioning, we heard about it. If we didn't hear it from police, we'd probably hear it from Nick. Hell, let's be honest, we'd likely hear it from those imbeciles on the KickVic side, because you know they'd be gloating about it.

We've heard nothing even remotely close to this. KickVic is simply lashing out and frantically trying to save face. They were taking advantage of Vic's kind nature and thought that they could ruin his life and career without consequence.

But even the kindest of people have their limits. Vic realizing that the very people that he trusted and called his friends didn't actually give a fuck about him... That was it for him, I think.

I just can't help but to feel so bad for the guy.

Daddy Law needs to get that link to the livestream up. Every time he goes silent for many hours, I get nervous. They are trying to fuck with him as much as they possibly can now. They chimp out more and more as this prologue reaches its epic conclusion.

EDIT: Oh, thank God. Maybe he heard me.

She just can't stop lying, can she?

It's funny. She linked the Gizmodo article on her Twitter feed. If she actually read the article, it would show that there was a summer 2018 investigation that was deemed to be "inconclusive", which is why Vic kept working. There wasn't an investigation that lasted for months. Rial herself said that all these voice actor stories happened weeks after the December incident, where a picture of her and Vic was posted and she did the kissy emoji.

That's a common trend I notice with this woman: she doesn't read the shit she links to.

Another example was when ANN covered the "SWAT" incident, and said that Samantha filed a police report the day after whatever incident happened with her. It was confirmed to not be a swatting. It was "criminal mischief". Now, that police report was deemed to be fake by people, but that's another story in itself.

Here was MarzGurl's initial coverage of it.

She then changed it, but not before people deemed it to be a swatting based on her word alone, despite the article saying otherwise. You can see it in the comments.

Speaking of P&S, for being SJWs claiming that we need more "people of color" in media, you'd think they'd have issues with Christopher Sabat, a white guy, voicing Garterbelt, a black character. But nope, looks like they are ok with it! What really has me scratching my head about this is that there ARE black VAs in anime. Beau Billinglea (Jet from Cowboy Bebop) is the main one that comes to mind.

ADV had one voice one of the NERV guys in Evangelion. Also there was one back in the old days who played a crewman who died in Nadia The Secret of Blue Water (ironic that Jean's actor is now the most successful of all of them)

Laura Bailey playing Nadine in Uncharted is a big problem. Cree Summer, Kimberly Brooks, Dawnn Lewis, Amanda Miller, etc are literally right there and they go with....her.

Idk if it's as bad as Monica Rial trying to defend her voicing Michiko in Michiko to Hatchin because "I'm half Latina". She threw a fit when people questioned that one.

It took me over a month to solidify my stance on the matter but #IStandWithVic.

This thread has been a rather insightful view into why "listen and believe" on Twitter and social media is bullshit, because it is easy for people not in the know to get lost in baseless accusations like the ones MarzGurl, Monica Rials, and Ron Toye threw out against Mignogna despite no evidence of harassment coming up. Mignogna has been working as a voice actor at Funimation for two decades. All of this time, not a shred of evidence came up that he was guilty of anything, no audio, no video, no pictures, nothing. Any pictures and videos that have come up were either miscontextualized for political pandering or showed nothing offensive. At worst, you could say that Mignogna forgot that maybe he should have asked before giving physical affection towards his fans but that hardly warrants Twitter "feminists" screeching on Twitter to sabotage someone's career.

I am excited for Nick Rikieta's stream tonight. The fact that Ty Beard, Mignogna's lawyer, will be showing up in the first hour, excites me and I can't wait to see what they have to say on the matter.

Like everyone else here, I am ready for outrage culture to end. This shit has got to stop. There has to be accountability for creating false evidence to support an ill-intended narrative and that has to extend to social media no matter what political alignment you identify with.

I dunno why everybody doesn't just throw their support behind Ty Beard at this point. According to the Texas State Bar, his middle name is Tyrone, Percy is a sissy first name, and LGBT Law is one of his areas of practice. Fuckin' KickVic bigots must not know it's current year. :story:

The reason why it's a big problem is because the developers/actors make big announcements about it. There's a lot of hand-picking and choosing going on here. Indira Varma, a British-Italian woman, voiced Vivienne, a black woman, in Dragon Age: Inquisition. There were no complaints.

David Rasner voiced Tosen in Bleach. No complaints. Nor Kent Williams as Sid Barrett from Soul Eater. Excetera.

When the developers/actors themselves make a big deal about it, it's a problem. But, if they treat it like it's nothing, and don't boast about it (or even mention it) on social media, then it's no problem.

So guys, can anyone check and see if this is Ron Toye in the Nick Rekieta Law's live stream? He's got the smiley face by his messages.

No, it's not him. He's saying he'll screenshot the chat and livestream for harassment. It's a joke, just like the Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi YouTube channels that lurk Nick and others' streams.

I don't know if there's any way to actually check if it were him. People have tried to fake Mundane Matt before. That's only easy to prove false because Jarbo is verified on TY.

What he's saying in chat is certainly retarded enough, but it ain't hard to fake retarded.
