If the court of public opinion and the majority are so clearly on the side of KickVic, why are they at all concerned how many streams are held by the other side?
The public has never been on their side. The problem has always been that the people on the receiving end of these social justice lynch mobs tended to always bend over and spread their cheeks to them. If they were a private person, they would just apologise and admit to everything in hopes it would all go away, and if they were a company they would cave immediately to the demands. The true miracle of this particular incident is that in the first 2 weeks before the intervention by the lawyers, Vic never actually admitted to doing the things he was accused of. He just apologized if he offended people. Had he apologized for doing the things he was accused of (whether or not they were true) he would have been toast.
The people in #kickvic, both the Voice Actors and the Companies involved followed standard procedure for dealing with a MeToo crisis in the current year. Public virtue signalling proclaiming adherence to the Social Justice religion, formal institutional actions backing up by force the demands of that religion, and the full expectation that the Penitent Heretic will in the face of their righteous fury confess his sins and seek absolution in death.
Except that's not what happened this time. So now all these NPC's are stuck in an error loop. It seems insane to us who are not part of their faith, but to them this should have ended 2 weeks ago. The fact that its not over means they have to double down and recycle the attacks. Because that's what their dogmatic beliefs require. Warped Perspective does not even begin to describe it.
