It's always shocking to me how well the troon propaganda works to keep women in line, but when it fails, it fails spectacularly.

Is this accurate though? I don't think the propaganda 'keeps women in line' so much as women just don't want to deal with it? Like I have some heated opinions but I rarely to never express them in the outside world because I just can't be bothered. I don't want to have an argument with people who are so insane about everything, I make the choice to avoid people like this the second I become aware of them and just want to live my life. It's not that I can't argue my point but it's just too tiring to be in constant battle against a person who unequivocally believes they're right. It's like talking to a wall, not productive in the least. So I don't think it's so much keeping us in line as it's a combination of women pretending to be far more tolerant for longer than they should and we just don't want to be arsed with the arguments. Alongside the fact that female socialization does tend to make us less confrontational towards outsiders/strangers a lot of the time.

I think Gender Crit calls it peak trans but the concept is applicable for so many things. Women are incredibly good at tolerating because they don't want to be in a constant war, but that eventually reaches point where they get pushed too far. Troons might be making leeway currently but eventually they're going to push too far and women will collectively get angry and push back far more viciously then they'll ever expect, because troons especially of the MTF variety, have no idea of the culture between women as they weren't raised female. It's a victory for women but medicine isn't technically part of STEM.
From what I've heard, engineering, math and compsci are good fits for the typical male autistic but that's exactly the problem when it comes to getting women in the industry. The women who are good at those fields get sick of the sausagefest. It's not only majority male, but quite a lot of exceptional males. Now imagine that some of those males are now trying to have "girl-talk" about their budding transbian moobs with you. Yikes.

They are avoidable in a lot of STEM, I think. The cocks in frocks joke about CS being ‘their’ field but - unlike most things in their warped version of reality - it’s totally true. In my experience, STEM grad students are comprised of ~60% well-adjusted people, ~25% harmless weirdos, 15% incels. Physics: add a few troons and more incels, take away from well-adjusted gen pop. CS: 25% well-adjusted; the rest are incels, weeaboos, and troons. Basically they are 100 percent avoidable unless you really want to program or do physics. If you need a modeler you might be fucked though.

We're having this conversation on a forum that implores you keep your anonymity while sharing opinions that tend to rock the current societal boat in regards to many people because other areas of the internet are not tolerant to those opinions. When you look at the transwoman population, a noticeable number of them are (or were, before they trooned out) in tech fields or gaming, but that's just because a disproportionate number of those in tech fields and pro gaming are male. So you're more likely to find a tranny who works in IT than who works as a nurse. Trans are still a vanishingly small percentage of the general population, and that includes being a vanishingly small percentage of those in STEM.

Despite stereotypes, engineering actually tends to be more bro-ish than autistic. Maybe you've heard of "brogrammers"? Certain Engineering disciplines are known for partying. Engineering has multiple disciplines and the percentage of women in each one varies considerably. Chemical engineering tends to be the most popular for women. In some universities, that undergrad program can approach a 50-50 ratio. The least popular is typically Mechanical engineering. Quite frankly, Mechanical is a very traditional field of engineering that involves the building of prototype devices and work in machine shops, and women are more likely to experience sexist treatment and exclusion in this area.

There is actually a large number of women in Mathematics, far more than Engineering. From statistics I've seen, about 42-45% of bachelor degrees in Mathematics are earned by female students. Compare that to about 20%-30% in Engineering. As for science, women are much closer to parity in Biology and Chemistry than in other fields. But Physical Sciences and Computer Science are experiencing an uptick in female enrolment. Women used to actually dominate the workforce in CompSci/SoftEng as the field was emerging – the reason for the sudden decrease decades ago is subject to a lot of debate and discussion and has many causal factors, but a large part of it is that when the field started gaining respect and importance (aka. $$), it was deemed too important to be left to women and as men entered, women faced workforce exclusion and discrimination.

Regions with Asian populations have better female participation in STEM because white-collar officework is seen in the culture as appropriately feminine for women. Mostly, STEM fields that involve sitting in a chair in front of a computer and do not involve site visits in hard hats and steel-toed boots.

Many areas of STEM are experiencing a shortage of qualified workers to fill the increasing demand for them. The most prominent is CompSci/SoftEng, which has about a 50% shortfall. As in, projections indicate that they will only have a skilled domestic labour force to fill 50% of the jobs. Hence the agitation to get blacks and women, who are underrepresented, into the field. There are shortfalls also in various specific areas of industrial/sanitation design in Engineering that come with job experience rather than undergraduate training, as well as shortfalls in areas that are studied in grad programs.

So the point is: trans aren't especially noticeable in STEM, autism is not responsible for sex ratio differences in STEM (and actually emerging research suggests that autism is just underdiagnosed in female children because teachers/doctors are looking for male behavioural symptoms as the basis for diagnosis while it manifests differently in girls), the push to increase female STEM enrolment is not a tranny or corporate conspiracy against the labour force, and sex ratios in STEM vary widely across cultures and historical periods and disciplines suggesting they're not the result of innate differences.

Most importantly, the point is: troons have a deluded self-importance and make themselves appear to be a much larger group than they actually are. Buying into a mentally ill troon's vision of sex differences or the world and their place in it is not a recipe for sanity. The vast majority are too busy being "activists", e-begging for "life-saving" surgery, and sperging on the internet to actually study/work in STEM.
