They may be Christian, but you missed the part earlier in the stream when they were talking about how they wouldn't had taken it if they didn't feel comfortable with him or had doubts about his side of the story. When they said that, religion was never brought up as a reason why they felt that way.

I have no doubt that Vic being a bleeding heart Christian played a part in their acceptance of him.

As I said, leaders of the church have been caught with their pants down and people will overlook these egregious offences because "no one is perfect" and God is a redeemer and so on and so forth.

I felt like the Amazons threw out some bait tonight. It will be interesting to see whether the kickers and pullers take it.

I've suspected that a lot of Nick's streams do that quite well and intentionally. He did go a bit overboard on the racism rant.... but I do wonder to myself with each rant if he's at least got an outline in advance.

Well they did just arrest, charge and convict the Treasurer of the Vatican, so if that ain't good enough I dunno what is anymore.

And folk, there you have it. A fucking amazing live stream. We found out that:

  • The lawyers know that Jamie Marchi tweeted 385 times in a day at Vic
  • Christie and Laci are sexual assault survivors
  • Shout-out to US!
  • "We will be in touch" to Marzgurl and Monica Rials... and probably everyone else who lead the defamation campaign against Vic
  • They have done work on defamations
  • 450 litigations at minimum
  • #DontBeAJackwagon deserves to trend on Twitter
I have not been this excited in a long, long time.

I hope we're all ready for more screeching at the crack of dawn.

I'm not the biggest fans of religions, but you can't prove that played any significant part. You don't know what kinds or how deep of Christians they are. They also talked about how they too have been sexually assaulted as well in their past. What if they just accepted his case, because they believe him?

And in the end, what does it matter, everyone deserves a defense. If Vic feels he has been wronged then he has every right to take people to court to make them prove, on the record, that his recalling and perception of the events were factually wrong. The judge and jury will decide that, not the lawyers that are taking the case.

Lmao, that's the tweet they think is going to redeem the movement? We were making fun of it a couple pages back. :story:

You can't just say "#KickVic is over, we're done." It's just starting.
It's functionally just a long winded way of saying, "Well, at least we started a conversation

That seems unlikely to me. I think it's much more likely that Nick simply got upset over how his friend was being treated. The exceptionalism of the comments and his closeness to the subject do explain his outburst.

You forgot the part that made my dick the hardest:

"On the horizon very soon."

That's Amazon Prime's five words. It's even better than Ty's IMO. I even screen caped the part where she says it.

I'm not so sure that the Amazon stream was good for Vic with regard to his newfound fanbase outside of the anime community.

While some were probably aware of people potentially attacking Vic for his faith, I'm not sure how cognizant they were that the lawyers he hired were hardcore Christians. I think that might give them pause. Anyone who grew up in the faith knows that Christians will allow their own to get away with murder. They'll forgive nearly anything, because anyone can be redeemed. There are anti-gay preachers who have been caught with male prostitutes and meth who are still on the pulpit.

Astute point, Mr. Kirk. I tip my "hat" to you. :neckbeard:

You sound like a euphoric fedora and your shit is going DOWN.

She wants a bunch of anonymous rape accusations to suddenly appear.

Frankly, I am absolutely gobsmacked this hasn't happened. The blowback must have been strong enough that it caused the more trolly of the SJW true believers to pause. And now, with the legal teams involved? No one's going to risk that. Yes, they can remain anonymous on the police report. But the police will still know who you are, and thus the legal teams involved will know who you are, too.
