I'm not so sure that the Amazon stream was good for Vic with regard to his newfound fanbase outside of the anime community.

While some were probably aware of people potentially attacking Vic for his faith, I'm not sure how cognizant they were that the lawyers he hired were hardcore Christians. I think that might give them pause. Anyone who grew up in the faith knows that Christians will allow their own to get away with murder. They'll forgive nearly anything, because anyone can be redeemed. There are anti-gay preachers who have been caught with male prostitues and meth proof who are still on Twitter.

Do Nick and Ty know the full story of MarzGurl, JewWario, Change The Channel, and so on? The fact that MarzGurl was friends with, shared a hotel room, and even made a movie for an alleged molester/rapist may have impacted her psychologically. And she only found this out after participating in a MeToo campaign in which she learned some of her friends had been hiding this fact from her.

MarzGurl has no money. She can't afford a long term legal fight or a big loss. Her best hope is to settle early for a small amount. (Can she turn around and testify on Vic's behalf? If she says everything was bullshit, she could get off scot-free.)
