I honestly think Nick knows more about the lawsuit at this point than he's letting on. That said, it's difficult to tell what is him having fun, and what is him telegraphing the actual targets (outside of Funimation, which seems to be a given). I've been more in the "Shane isn't a target" camp.

On the flip side, I'm growing more and more convinced MarzGurl is going to be named.

Marzgurl just keeps running her mouth everywhere. She's on PULL talking shit, on Resetera talking shit, on Twitter talking shit, etc, etc.. If they let her slide due to the probability she has no money to recoup in damages it's going to be a real shame. She deserves the legal pounding as much if not more than Marchi.

Nick can't know anything about anything. From what I am seeing, he is essentially playing the same game a PAC does in an election campaign. Everyone knows the candidate and the PAC have the same goals. But so long as there is no cooridination between them the PAC can do whatever it wants. If Beard and Company were to involve Nick in their internal planning, or worse, give him instructions, then Nick would no longer be a a third party.

Somehow I don't think Nick or Ty are dumb enough to do that. So its safe to assume Nick does not know who will be sued, for what they will be sued or when they will be sued. But he can make good guesses.

Yup he's still credited on everything. He even got a better sendoff than Vic. They only put him on temp leave before doing anything official. They didn't even fire him until he confessed to it. (As far as I remember)

I've heard those rumors too. If they redubbed all of Broly's lines you better bet there would be some serious backlash. I don't think they would go that far, but who knows.

He's likely just looking at it through a lawyers eyes. Experience is 95% of being able to predict this sort of thing. Non public information less than you might think. Nick has run his own analysis and game plans. And he knows how to recognize activity levels in other lawyers. I doubt he has had any direct consulting or information with Vic's lawyers. Note he was very careful to keep that all in the public view.

But as the creator of the GFM he can likely also see what has been drawn against it. And that would be enough to give him an idea of timing. Just from experience.

I think he's still credited, as well as in DXD. And, last I checked, Scott Freeman's lines weren't redubbed by the new Issei, Josh Grelle.

4chan /cgl/ is talking about Vic, although more in relation to them annoyed at how he's increasing Anime Matsuris profile. They've been trying to ruin Anime Matsuri for years. Even though there are no better cons in the area. They'd rather see it crash and burn. They've been spreading it around the CEO is a pedophile, though as far as I know the age of consent is 16-17 in Texas?. And no ones reported rape, just sleazy guy making sexual innuendos all the time, buying girls gifts, and trying to hit on them through pms. So Anime Matsuri is just run by a thirsty incel? Shocking.

I don't think it was a "hard drive full." He would have gotten a harsher sentence. He was charged with 8 counts, and was sentenced to 3 years on a plea bargain (and later got paroled). I think Texas considers each visual depiction to be an offense. So it could have been like 8 images.

He's out now, BTW. Lives in Nebraska. Thankfully, in his case, permanent in Funimation's eyes means permanent. Although that set a precedent as to why Vic needs to fight his banishment. Idiots keep telling me "Oh, he can come back if he just apologizes and lies low."

And if this is that similar to that, then it is actually very likely that she was included in organizing a lot of the KickVic insanity.

Scott Freeman definitely LOOKS like a sex offender. But back to Vic. It would be a crime to throw a person like him out of the business, considering he has over a score of experience, is a keystone in the western anime community, and is quite talented.
