Talk show hosts aren't really going to say that a doctor is wrong. She had already gotten her given the diagnosis and it is an ordeal to remove a diagnosis. The current situation though could warrant an entire reassessment, but even then they may just change the diagnosis to have the specifier that symptoms are not currently present.

Not to mention, on Oprah they ate the "she's the youngest documented schizophrenic and has over twenty distinct visual hallucinations!" schlock hocked by Munchiemom up. Anything a mbp parent says is "definitely wrong with [kid]" is basically thrown out the window.
If Jani hallucinates it's because she's been drugged to her gills in her formative years that it rotted a hole in her brain.

I think my concern is that Michael will be unable to care for them. It depends of course, optimistically, Bodhi off meds will be somewhat normal, but I'm not holding my breath. Jani would be a wonderful big sister, I think at her core she's a beautiful young lady, despite all of the problems she's had thrust upon her. Regardless of that, the reality is it'd cramp Michael and Amy's life having Jani and Bodhi there.

I hope Susan doesn't get them back. If Misty Henry can have her kids yanked away for less, then so should Susan. In a just world..... well, she'll be competing with Misty for best ceiling trash.

Michael is a guilty party too as he only recently divorced Susan - so he should not be allowed to care for them.

She probably never hallucinated to begin with. Children who only get attention for a certain behavior will continue that behavior. She HAD to "hallucinate" to get positive attention. She's probably been coached for so long that shes entirely dependent on that coaching. Hopefully out of that situation she can learn that.

But Wednesdays court date decides further plans, there are many possibilities on how it will go. Hopefully with Michael there being calm and her being a screech they will choose right.

I desperately hope Jani and Bodhi can now get the medical and therapeutic care they need. The most important thing is that they’re alive and safe.

I agree that Michael is not best suited to care for them right now and should have to prove he can be a good parent. It’s been said he’s in therapy. And Amy can help him.

Susan and Cory should definitely be in prison, especially Susan, but at this point I don’t even care about them anymore. The kids are safe!

Can a website adopt a child?

We've still got Mad Misty's kids knocking around somewhere. Did we ever sort out the rota for feeding them, incidentally? Er....

Just a random thought, apart from Michael's own documented abuse, neglect and downright idiocy in that mysterious realm known as Children back then, he's also proven himself incapable of taking any stand against Susan right up to now. He's allowed her to dictate terms and conditions on calls, visitations and everything else and from CPS pov, if he can't stand up against her he's as much use as a snotty tissue. Whatever the reasons, whether you feel sympathy for him or not, the fact is that allowing him involvement could totally fuck up any plan.

Anyone remember the Diane Downs case? She was separated from her husband on bad terms and was openly under suspicion for shooting her children and her idiot husband STILL allowed her to see her eldest child even though he was well aware of the situation and had been warned. It set the entire investigation off and could have nixed prosecution altogether. CPS are right not to consider Michael an ally - he may dispute the details but he still buys into both kids being mentally ill (if Bodhi IS autistic, it wasn't severe until Susan fucked his brain over) and he folds to her whims. Michael 'S let this go on long enough; no WAY should any agency consider him a support atm. Susan showed the world she's won't relinquish any control and CPS have to exclude anyone who has ever bought into that, however benignly.

I wonder if the foster care opted out when they realised these kids came with media attention? I don't know how it operates in the US, but in many places emergency foster-carers are given no info on the kids. The carers may have recognised them and noped out - EFC is hard enough, without the potential nightmare of the tabloids on your tail.

After months of saying there was nothing they can do, DCFS abruptly got a warrant and pulled Jani and Bodhi from Susan and Cory, right at the same time Michael was with Amy who was giving birth via c section. Unfortunately, it appears that DCFS didn't think this through very well and for obvious reasons Michael can't get to LA to get them right now. They were originally placed with foster care but something went wrong and the foster mother rejected both kids, who are now spending the weekend in a shelter. Y Michael couldn't come get them today, he is considered to have abandoned them. Court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. That's all I know so far.

Holy shit thats horrible. Whos watching them now in the shelter?

Holy fuck, I guessed that Susan planned something around the time Amy was due, but I never expected CPS to go all in and take the kids away.
That's kind of a miracle. But of course Susan and Cory are silent now. I really don't wanna know what kind of tension must be in their filthy apartment right now. I mean yeah sure, finally they have some time for themselves, but that means their welfare bucks might go away, too.

I really hope the kids are safe and as happy as they can be in this situation right now. I don't really know how the US foster care system works, but I can imagine that it must be kinda confusing and terrifying for both of them at first, because they don't know what's happening right now.
God, I am really relieved and anxious at the same time. I really wish Jani and Bodhi the best.

Just wanted to throw my two cents in -- you're absolutely right that the timing was no accident. That was CPS giving Michael kind of a last chance, "if you want them, act like it" moment. They knew when the time came he would choose his new family. I'm not necessarily faulting him there, but this is CPS making it clear that if he wants them on his side, he needs to get off his ass or get out of the way.

The kids are likely traumatized. Not because being held under CPS/medical supervision is terrible (it is, but the kids are used to medical supervision anyway and this is an improvement), but because Susan would have gone out of her way to ensure the separation was as traumatic as possible, so she could play the innocent mom-warrior fighting for her kids who were stolen by the old man in charge, see they're crying and calling for me, you don't understand them, they need their mother and Michael ISN'T HERE REEEEEEE etc. etc. Add to that the fact that antipsychotic withdrawal is hell and yeah, you've got a recipe for some stressed kids.

But for once, they're not stressed because they're being abused and manipulated. They're stressed because being cared for correctly is a foreign concept that Susan has done her best to make them terrified of. They're scared, but they're together, and under decent medical supervision for the first time ever. That's more than we dared to hope for even a week ago.

The real work starts now. Personally, I'm most interested to hear from @ibewwife1990, and to find out whether criminal charges are being filed. There's a lot of difficult shit ahead, but for the first time maybe ever, there is a glimmer of hope for these two. Infinite thanks to our many leaks, especially @JanusJupiter for keeping us posted throughout this utter madness.

Is there really confirmation that Jani isn't schizophrenic? I mean christ Dr. Phil is of course a giant hack but I would think him and Oprah who both interviewed her have specialist researchers beforehand who made sure Jani was what she appeared to be.

As for Bodhi, being chemically sedated through the most pivotal years of development has surely left him permanently mentally exceptional. His future is definitely in a nursing home, at least he'll have a chance to be treated with dignity.

Jani is not schizophrenic, there aren’t even many psychiatrists who even believe COS is real. This article does a fine job of explaining why the Dx is wrong.

Susan took Jani to SO many doctors until she finally found a psych resident to go along with that label and it was a huge mistake by that doctor. You take any person to 30 different psychiatrist you’ll probably get 20 different types of Dx, it’s far from an exact science, so much depends on what the mother reports, how the child is behaving that day, etc...

MBP mothers enjoy going to so many different hospitals and doctors, they will go again and again and again, they will search high and low. Eventually they will find a naive or overworked doctor to fall into their manipulative scheme and give them what they want. There’s no physical test for schizophrenia, it all comes down to a doctors opinion on someone’s symptoms and Susan reported a lot of Janis supposed symptoms and coached her behavior as much as possible. While most kids are encouraged to learn their ABCs and read, Susan encouraged Jani to talk to her imaginary friends and throw fits.
