Funi is 95% owned by Sony. If this gets ugly enough to involve Sony they might just want to make it go away and if they feel like it they can make it right with Vic far away from Funi's dangerhair whores and other degenerates. What Sony actually does is pretty unpredictable because it is stupidity physically manifested as a corporation. (Specifically Sony Pictures Television.)

I don't know which side would handle that. But Aniplex is like the only other competent branch of Sony next to their console business. Well the japanese side at least. I can't say much about Aniplex of America.
I think a lot of people actually counted on Funi being absorbed into Aniplex. I would imagine they wouldn't think twice about killing off Funi if it saves them from some very negative press. Out of sight out of mind, right?
