He relies on the digital tools so much, it's basically a crutch to him. It also doesn't help that he does everything on one layer, in addition to tracing a good portion of his stuff. The mere thought of doing traditional art (or painting) would send Dobson running for the hills. There are many artists who don't have steady hands and even they produce beautiful work. So, where is his excuse now?More likely from his MCAD days, where he would've been forced to take life drawing.
IIRC, Dobson claims (key word there) that his hand shakes, preventing him from using traditional media because he can't hit "undo" or take advantage of the automatic line correction features in digital software. I kind of want to call bullshit on that, but who knows what meds he's on (if any) are affecting him physically. The digital tools are great, but he overdoes it to the point that his art is dead, dead, dead. He really needs to get back to actual, real, physical pencils and paper. Even Fomera has more life in it than anything he's made in the last few years, li'l lesbians notwithstanding.
