Most either haven't heard of it or if they have it's a "only the American people there read it and it turned to garbage since 2015" It seems to be written by Americans and only read by an American audience and harshely criticizes Japanese culture in a "your country is a bunch of sexists" type of way which makes me doubt any Japanese people really read it at all.
The only thing really making it Japanese at all is that it's owned by a Japanese company that just enables their behavior and takes place in Japan, it really just seems like a BuzzFeed wannabe that is only keeping its head above water because it's the only English written paper there that Americans can read

Japan Times as a company is actually quite big. They are additionally known for publishing Japanese learning materials, with their most famous being Genki and their Dictionary of Japanese Grammar series. Pretty much every weeb has at least attempted to read Genki 1, before giving up because they find learning Japanese from anime to be much easier.
As for their newspaper division, it is indeed geared towards expats, but I think it’s a bit erroneous to say it’s not well known. It’s the largest and oldest English-language publication in Japan. Rather than Buzzfeed, I would compare it closer to The Wallstreet Journal, but for foreigners, in how it was once reputable in the past, but has now started catering to socjus idiots in recent years. They still post decent articles for the most part though since most of their expats are still middle-aged white guys and not danger haired wahmen. Thankfully, Japan doesn’t give a shit about diversity hires like the US does.

At any rate, I don’t really care about their article on Vic as it’s a hit piece at best. I was just merely pointing out a potential connection between their writers and Amelia Cook, since they did an article on her in the past and she was somewhat involved with the early stages of kickvic.

Wonder if this thread will slow down in the next few days/weeks now that some of the main players in KickVic have received that cold dose of reality and presumably shut up (for now). This has to be one of the most consistently fast threads ever here.

Lets be real here. If YouTubers are doing this all for money, then regardless, it's their right to do it. However, the YouTubers that are monitized covering this topic aren't doing this for money. Look at Nick Rekieta, YellowFlash, TUG, etc. All of them.. save Nick, admittedly, didn't really have much of a sub count until recently. The mass of fans they've gotten are from people who are supporting the cause that these guys, that I'm fairly sure, all of us believe in.

Well, I do think that believing victims is a good thing. However, all the supposed victims supposedly abused by Vic have not proven themselves to be victims. So they get no sympathy from me.

And as a sidenote, I don't understand how saying "both sides are dumb" is a "neutral" opinion.

I've been tracking the infiltration process across subcultures for years now and the social justice push, along with its concordant need to destroy and erase, has hit scenes as diverse as Street Art, Coding, fucking KNITTING... and I'm really not looking forward to the complete saturation of TG (if they haven't done so already). Your post hit on the unique and insidious brand of evil that drives these people. The callousness, the willingness to profane our past times, the basic lack of respect for every scene they poison. It's that brazen rudeness and self satisfaction that gets me.

And yet, hasn't Johnny Depp's acting career basically been on a downward spiral because of this shit? The damage is done; his injuries may recover, but he may never get regular work again (and he's broke, yes?). I know he would get super protective about keeping his children out of the paparazzi's eyes, but if he's been in an abusive relationship for all this time... suddenly it makes sense. Jesus.
