Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Funny you compare this thread to One Piece, as chapter 272 deals with Enel confronting Robin in the ruins of Shandora as she reveals to him the existence of the bell. Meanwhile, episode 272 is when Luffy faces Blueno at Enies Lobby and first reveals Gear Second. So which of the two arcs would you place us currently in the Vic situation? :story:

Oh yeah, that reminds me, does this mean Funimation put their dub of "Episode of Sabo" on hold, or was that one of the last projects Vic recorded?

For your first question, episode 272. Like Luffy, The Beard is about to stomp a mudhole in fools then walk it dry.

As for your second question, it seems Funimation is still going to release Episode of Sabo on March 19th and Vic seems to be Sabo in it.
Of course, notice that Travis Willingham (Ace) and Colleen Clinkenbeard (Luffy) are credited but not Vic on Amazon.

Of Monica Rial, Jamie Marchi, Ron Toye, they've all gone silent, at least in regards to Vic. There might be a few innocent tweets here and there about other things, but nothing to do with Vic (or Nick, I guess). Not sure on Hanleia, Jessie Pridemore, and Marzgul.

Shane's the only one interacting with Nick still. My working theory is that he was simply not important enough to serve, which means he not only failed at the things he wanted, but even at the things he wouldn't want.
The part about Shane seems right, hes like living bait.
I think its that secretly they just want to ship him, they are all yaoi fangirls after all. And if he turned them down then they protect their egos.

Look I found the evidence girls! Get to those fanfics! Heh that'll take care of em for a while.

Lmao to be fair these make Vic look like a raging homo.

They probably only sent letters to people they not only intend to sue, but also to ask for exemplary damages against. If someone is a discovery target but not a defendant, they wouldn't necessarily want to scare them off from continuing to spew potentially useful information.

So by "discovery target" you mean somebody who would be sent a subpoena to be questioned about the case but not be sued? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Once, again! THE LEFT CAN'T MEME!!!!

Is this NPC bingo board here not the embodiment of targeted harassment or something? Am I nuts to think this JPG will probably be admissible in court at some point?

Or whatever. Their PMs, hidden tweets, etc.

I saw some people worried about Mumkey Jones appearing on Nick's stream and there should be nothing to worry about. Mumkey, along with other youtubers EmpLemon and Rusty Cage, host a podcast together called "The State of the Youtube." He was also on Cynical Streams about a month ago. I would be surprised if Youtube did anything.

It should also be noted that someone does not have to have received a formal "dont delete that shit" letter to be on the hook for perverting the course of justice or having their actions viewed in the worst possible light. This one is for Allison.

All that is required is that the person should reasonably have known a crime has been committed and/or legal action was likely or known to be in progress. Allison nuked her Twitter very recently. She did this long after it was known Vic had hired legal council and was pursuing litigation. It even came after Beard Harris publicly stated on both Twitter and Youtube they were on the case. By deleting her twitter account (letter or no letter) makes it almost certain Allison Cook is going to be sued. Her initial tweet started this mess and by trying to destroy it Ty now has to perform discovery on TWITTER to get at it. That alone is an expense Vic will have to pay for. That means damage. More importantly though to get the subpoena to raid twitters database it's far easier if the target is a defendant rather then a random twitter anon.

These people are very stupid. I am not even a lawyer and I know that destroying evidence of a crime when people know the game is afoot makes things infinitely worse for you.

They could also find more stuff in all the Funimation discovery. If they find links to Rooster Teeth , they too can get dragged into this as well.

If Ron got his, she almost certainly got hers.

Understand the letter wouldn't compel them to stop all Twitter communication. It would just put them on notice that they committed an act of defamation, demand thye retract such defamation (and refrain from future defamation), preserve all evidence in their custody, and put them formally on notice that a lawsuit is pretty much imminent.

Okay. I was just worried if something was even sent to her since she's bitching about R. Kelly now.
