NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

Their "PC Gaming" thread used to be a "Steam" thread but SweetNicole and her "girlfriend" threw a fit about how Steam is not a "platform" therefore should not be allowed to have a thread, thus the "PC Gaming" thread which is the same as the Steam thread was except for some sarcasm in the OP.

The mods have issued warnings and stuff for people not "respecting others storefront preferences" if people bitch about the Epic Store too much. They just banned a couple people for "hostility against staff" for calling this out:

Don't forget the other factor. Valve declared not long ago that the free market should be free, and that it wasn't going to deny games a presence on its store save for legal reasons or system-abuse reasons (e.g. the developer is actively trying to harm Steam's infrastructure). The Epic Games Store promises the usual suspects the ability to gatekeep again, to control what's allowed to be sold. They need only infect Epic or at least get Epic on their side. If they manage that, they'll have a direct line to the guys who can simply deplatform the "icky" games. The fact that EGS and Epic's tactics in promoting it are wildly anti-consumer doesn't even register (in a sane world the left would be giving a damn about the consumer getting the shaft).

I've seen articles flat-out ignore the fact that Epic publicly admitted it was paying for exclusivity, and act as if games were just naturally flooding over to EGS because it's a great platform. That's not a coincidence. The "journalists" want a little of that mutual backscratching; the people who still put stock in what the "journalists" say are gobbling those biased news pieces right up.

Yep, China is making an aggressive push and buying out tech and games companies. Since Valve isn't publicly listed. They had to go with making a competitor, and paying people to push it.

They absolutely despise the fact that Valve prefers a hands-off approach to curating their store.
They can't handle that edgy or otherwise un-PC games can flourish on Steam, so they would rather shill for a competitor who has a worse service and less features, all because EPIC are more likely to censor to REEE's ridiculous standards.

Maoism LED to the Tienanmen Square massacre happening. Maoism led to millions of people dead, to the authoritarian shithole that China is today. Despite some liberalizations and embraces of the free market, those were only to hold onto wealth and power and stave off the collapse of their system.

It reads like something Jussie Smollet would come up with, but because it's a black man on Resetera, everything must be believed and not questioned.

The black man "doing nothing" persecuted by the white woman and the cops, while the hero of the day is another person of color and everything ends by saying "this country has always been like this".

This definitely did not happen, this is written like a scene in a movie. Real life does not flow this way, this asshole was just fantasizing about a theoretical racist encounter while he was in the shower or something and decided to let the creative juices flow. Looks like he needed a fat hit of attention to sate the addiction. What a dumb piece of shit.
