Chris demoted a phase in Therapeutic Docket program

Update: for April, Chris has progressed back to the 3rd phase's scheduling.

After the mall trespass case last year, Chris got lucky and, instead of getting fines/jail time, was placed on the Therapeutic Docket, a program for mentally ill people which gives incentives like movie tickets for complying.

According to the participant handbook, there are 3 phases to the therapeutic docket. By the 2nd phase, participants must meet with the Docket twice per month; by the 3rd, meetings are reduced to once a month.

Chris's case shows that he was on the 2nd phase's scheduling until December, when he apparently got promoted to the 3rd phase and a once per month meeting. And now for March he seems to be back on the 2nd phase's scheduling.

This is the guide for Phase 3, so he must be fucking up in one or more of those areas. Maybe the financial management stuff or he's slacking with the therapy?

Someone may have reported him for his drug use.

Assuming Chris is unable to improve in whatever area he's fucking up in (crazy idea, I know), is he just gonna stay on this docket program forever? If he fucks up more than he is currently, does he go to jail?

Edit: I skimmed the .pdf, and it says it's for 6-12 months, but I don't think it says anything about what happens if a person stagnates at a phase. It also talks about the punishments a person can receive if they don't do what they're supposed to do, and basically he can either get community service, have to write an essay, get a little jail time, or just get kicked out of the program entirely.

Since Chris just got a Switch I wouldn't be suprised if the cause was something like lack of financial mangement with him spending all his money on games for it.

It implies Chris pays for the fees so everyone would probally be better off him just staying on the program for as long as necessary assuming it's just minor infractions (As in he's not commiting any more crimes, is generally behaving himself and seems to be at least trying to participate).

The alternative seems to be give up and admit Chris can't function as an adult and then the situation would be far more complicated for everyone and not something anyone involved would want.

It's better than throwing low risk mentally ill people in prison. It's an order of magnitude cheaper for VADOC, and likely has better outcomes for people like Chris (that aren't Chris).

If you're saying this is the reason that chris isn't getting raped and murdered in prison, then, despite all the socioecconomic benefits this can arguably provide, I hate it!

Holy shit, really? That's interesting (Honestly, one of the more interesting things to happen recently). I wonder what constitutes as "stability in housing" here. Are we referring to family related stuff? Living conditions? Either way, he probably had to have done one or more of these things incorrectly (shocking, I know) to get demoted.

I wonder if it's because of what he's telling the therapist? Basically he's living in a dream world and is ignoring his responsibilities in reality. Maybe the therapist thinks Chris needs to stay in therapy longer or more frequently than the stage 3 docket would allow? :optimistic:

Apparently Chris is smart enough to nod and say yes to therapists to get them off his back, seems even he knows that they not only don't approve of his fantasies but have the power to legally rebuff him for them. At least I think Marvin said that, but given how mentally immature Chris is, I don't think it would take much to lure him out into revealing everything about his made-up loonytoon religion. Either way, it really probably is just a matter of him not putting in the basic requirements of the third tier of the program. There's a lot of requirements on that list that we all know Chris doesn't follow.

He was openly talking about his imaginary world beliefs to the shrink a few months back.
