To be fair, I honestly would be more surprised if Kelly wasn't horribly abused at some point throughout her life. I don't know if the whole Paul timeline has any truth to it, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was abused by a family member.

The fact that she has been severely mutilating her flesh for years, plus the fact that you never, ever, ever see her interacting with her family - despite her mother, father, and her brother (yes, she has a brother) being alive and living quite close to her - suggests that something clearly went wrong at some point in her life.

That being said, having a horrible childhood isn't a free pass to just act like a fucking dick for the rest of your life and then lean on your trauma as an excuse. She clearly thinks that she's entitled to attention from others and that she shouldn't be held accountable if she uses deceit and manipulation to get that attention. That's where my sympathy ends.

We'll probably never know what Kelly has (or hasn't) endured in life, but even in cases of the most horrific abuse, I personally don't think it's ever severe enough to warrant treating others like shit for your own personal gain.

I dunno, with someone like Kelly if there was an actual big event I'm certain she'd have plastered it all over her various blogs and mentioned it in her fake papers.
Don't get me wrong I get the need to feel like there's a reason behind extreme behaviors but to me it seems pretty obvious why her family would avoid contact; she's a friggin loon, and she's probably been this way for a LONG time.
We've seen first hand how extreme her lies can get and I'm sure her parents have too. How many times throughout her school years do you think she accused them of abuse? Or tried to turn them against each other? Or wasted a ton of their time and money with fake medical claims?
It really seems that the more time you spend with Kelly the more likely she is to try and weave you into her drama, like poor Gina who has had Kelly trying impersonate her, calling her a prostitute, claiming she has DID and trying to use her as a threat (master hackers Gina and Sharon). Anyone who has any need to sustain a respectable image (online or off), or wants to keep a clean record or low profile probably learns pretty quick that it's imperative to distance yourself from this fleshy train wreck.

I googled her name and she was mentioned last year on /r/illnessfakers before they changed their rules so that all subjects need mod approval before being discussed. She was mentioned only in passing.

Kelly is not one of the 7 or so approved subjects on the subreddit and is thus excluded from further discussion, but in her mind they talk about her like, all the time.

Edit: Everyone who isn't approved by the mods is banned from being discussed. Either no one requested to discuss Kelly on illnessfakers because she's boring (likely), or if people did, the mods decided against including her as a subject. She is not a banned topic, she's just not approved. (Hopefully that makes sense even to people with reading disabilities.)

I also find it weird that when she throws these little tantrums she expects us to just take her word for it, or care. Anyone with even the smallest amount of imagination can, after reading any of her posts on any topic, see what a shit sister she would be.
She can scream from the rooftops about what a great sibling, friend, roommate etc etc she is but honestly all she ever says is "me me me" so without even looking at her past we know that's not true. When your only contact with people is being talked about on the internet and being talked to by nurses who are forced to talk to you, the line gets blurred. It’s interesting that she tries to throw that at us like it’s important anyway. We talk to cows all the time on here. The difference with Kelly is that she got banned right out of her own thread for being so insufferable.

She really has alienated herself so badly. And the few sympathetic people that are easy to manipulate come and go because everytime they start to feel bad and come back in her life she just does something so shitty that they leave again and the cycle repeats itself.

I went through some of her older Tumblr posts the other day and I did snag this screencap from a video she posted, where she was flipping through old journals. She edited the video so that the writing wasn't visible, but there was a brief moment where you could see it: Me after a good night of hooking when me Gina + (Tanya?) went to Saskatchen Ramada Hotel

She actually has quite a few interesting posts if you go back in time on her Tumblr. Her bio has a disclaimer: "Fictional" journals written in first-person format while in my personal Hell. Believe it or not... Events, people or names that may seem familiar are purely coincidental.

So I'm sure she will claim that all of this stuff is just made up, and hey, who knows with her? It's still interesting nonetheless, especially if you watch the videos she's posted.

To be perfectly fair, I don't think Kelly ever did claim that Gina was a prostitute. I do believe some of her prostitute narrative as there is enough evidence on her journal to prove that she did live that life, but just like everything else in Kelly's life, she's intertwined it with her absurd fantasy world.

Basically, I believe that Kelly was a prostitute in Regina.
I believe that she lived at the YWCA.
I believe that the police were not all that nice to her.
I believe that she had some problematic clients.
I believe that Gina was not a prostitute.
I believe that she was probably raped and beaten and ripped off. I believe she went through some horrible things.
I don't believe that she was forced to eat a dog.
I don't believe she is being stalked. I don't believe Paul is a real person, and if he is, I don't believe he's followed her from city to city.

I have very little sympathy for Kelly because of how deeply she embellishes everything, and because of her chronic self-pitying refusal to get better. There are thousands of women who have been through the same or worse who live normal lives. She's been milking the tragedy of her teens for 20+ years now. Her shitty life experiences are not why we laugh at her. We laugh because she makes up these ridiculous fucking stories and spergs out when she's called on them. We laugh because she's been caught and she continues to deny it, like a child with chocolate on her face blaming her baby brother for eating it. We laugh because her desperate attempts to conjure up sympathy for herself are completely transparent.

I am personally absolutely disgusted by the entry (now hidden by Tumblr's hair-trigger CP filter) where she tried to link her troubled teenage years to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women article she posted. Kelly is white as a god damn sheet, and I'm sure that kept her safe when she was working. Kidnap a white teenager and there's going to be fanfare. "Oh, she was just troubled. She was such a lovely person." Kidnap a Native girl and maybe no one will notice. It's fucked up and the fact that Kelly briefly tried to tie herself in with that shows how absolutely ignorant and selfish she is.
