Wait? You mean ANN is in some way a directly connected and associated business with Funimation? Not simply “in the same industry” but receiving their mail at a Funimation office? Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark!
This rabbit hole is so deep we'll be digging up Mao Zedong in a week:story:

Hold up, wait a minute. Please disregard that Funimation part. I meant Anime News Network, not Funimation.

Sorry about that. I can be retarded at times.

That must be an apartment building, yes? The room I got from Anime News Network's "Create Your Own Brave Contest" was #402.

Just confirming I found exactly this and was about to post it and then noticed you had already.

It was on this, though:

It is almost certainly Christopher MacDonald's apartment. The 4410 is the street address, and the #402 would be the specific apartment.

Mind you, they appear to have done the bare minimum to legally incorporate. You can incorporate out of a residential address. But this also strongly suggests they have fuck all in terms of assets. MacDonald is the "CEO." You've got people like Hope and Zac out in California barely scraping by.

They're fucked if they have any sort of substantial judgement against them.

They might not have done the bare minimum for the corporation to be effective as a shield against personal liability. If it's just an alter ego of the person running it the corporate veil can be pierced. Of course, the alter ego person could be just as broke a motherfucker as the corporation itself.

I'd love to see what Chris McDonald has to say about the "we're going to do this ethically, I will get an outside expert on journalistic ethics to get involved". If they really did, that person would've told them to stop the fuck what they are doing right the fuck now.

Friendly reminder than when AJ got really exceptional (sex tape of a 4 year old, et al.), Denton threw him under the bus and refused to pay for his legal defense against Hogan.

I foresee Chris playing the "I had no idea this shit was going on" card in the future.

Sorta like the situation between Funimation and the VAs, but in miniature.

Why do all these people live in California then if they're so poor and need to beg for rent money? Hope and Zac live in Orange County/LA area, and other poor leftists live in the San Francisco area. If you work from home on the internet, live in a state with a low cost of living / no taxes / etc.

In other news, Marzgurl also put out a video clarifying the situation

According to Manta.com, which is a small business website, Anime News Network makes a $97,120 annual revenue with one employee. Is this employee Christopher MacDonald?

Also, who was the person who wrote the "Far from Perfect" article? Does anyone know how much he/she makes, or at least have an estimated guess?

Is it odd that a guy who makes $97,000 a year lives in an apartment complex?

Unless he or an accountant shares that revenue with his constituents in some way.

It's hard to imagine worse "journalistic ethics" than defaming someone, realizing you're about to get sued, and then instead of retracting it, begging random strangers to make up stories to back up the defamatory allegations you already made.

What, do these people look like poor people or ethnics? You can't expect these precious snowflakes to mingle with hoi polloi!

Hey, Chris lives REALLY close to a pretty big graveyard.

That might prove useful for his business prospects.

Political climate. In the 60s, a lot of hippies made a pilgrimage to San Francisco and just sorta slummed around places like Haight-Ashbury. LGBT did the same thing in the Castro District. They sorta spread out from there.

All the woke kids want to be out in California. Even if that means eating out of dumpsters.

Shit has been going on for literally decades.

It's probably better for the rest of the world that they centralize themselves into a few shitholes.

$97,000 in revenue sounds too low. I don't think Chris, Zac or Hope have another job and Autism News Network actually pays their writers.

He also has the apartment right next to his university, the Université de Montréal, according to his LinkedIn page.

Here's his summary. It might show some of his character to some people.

Lol. Also, it should be "Shane Holmberg's", not "Shane Holmbergs'". Sorry, it's just me being picky.

...why would you be afraid of dms being leaked if you where talking to a stranger? Are you saying you are so stupid as to reveal sensitive info to people who claim to support the same hashtag? For fucks sake how stupid are these people? And couldnt you... idk... check their twitter account or something? Dumb dumb and dumb. She didn't even use a different twitter account for her ops apparently, THATS the worst part

Let me guess, he's lived there since he went there. I.e. he is still living in his hovel of a student apartment. That would be pathetic if true.

I'd say it sounds about right. It's why they desperately accepted that Japanese Scientology like cult ad revenue and never bothered checking the source.

I know they will attempt this, but good luck with the 'no buisness in [location]' i.e. the Mark Waid defense with this in your bio.

It's the wrong test anyway. They won't be alleging they're generally subject to Texas jurisdiction. The tests are a purposeful availment and an effects test. Their wrongful actions were willfully directed to Texas relationships and had their effects there, and they chose to do this on their own initiative. Nobody forced them to orchestrate some deranged hate campaign against Vic in collaboration with the others from the #kickvic hashtag civil conspirators.
