That's called "paying the insurance" and given how many stories you hear of people playing dead or surviving with merely a few scars, well, again, this guy doesn't seem like he's just a random spree killer. Having actually watched the video, it's striking how much less violent real violence is than TV and movie violence. It's kind of hard to describe.

Nah real violence is pretty tame. Especially gun violence. Doesn't make for exciting tv. The grossest thing I've seen is a suicide off a high rise and even that was less traumatizing than a movie like saw.
