More like the fact that TPTB have started to bend Trump to their will, in terms of Trump turning on his base and giving TPTB what they want all along, in exchange for their tacit support in getting re-elected. Especially since the lunatic left has hijacked the DNC to the point that Pelosi gets told to suck a dick, over ANTISEMETISM running rampant from one of the "new blood" democrats who are supposed to be the party's future.
Also, outside random incidents, the street brawling of 2017 has largely died down and more to the point, you are starting to see the media acknowledging the left engaging in blatant false flag schemes to fake attack on people to blame Trump and followers (see the Jussie Smollet debacle).
TPTB most likely want the story buried because they have made peace with the idea of six more years of Trump because the DNC is a pure, 100% screwed up shit show that would further accelerate us down the road to Civil War and worse. Stuff like this would only make things worse and fuel more violence and calls and counter-calls for things that would lead to Civil War 2, which TPTB desperately don't want at the moment.
