I have been going to a local convention that hosts VAs every time for 5 or so years and never heard anything bad about anybody.
It sounds like this whole "omg hushed whispers" crap are primarily from the catty types that like to gossip and talk negatively about anybody they can, they could probably twist anything into something negative. Explains why PULL is so into it

I stopped going to cons in the mid-2000s, so I'm not much help there, but that was late enough to where the first FMA series (not Brotherhood) was a hot product and its VAs were doing the con circuit. Didn't hear shit.

I do have stories about Amanda Winn Lee dating back to the late 90s though. I'm going to be talking to an old Anime Central buddy of mine. I could've sworn they outright banned her ass.

I've been regularly going to a biannual con for... the last five or six years. Vic's been a guest of honor at least once per year. His panels were always energetic and involved, and his lines were always long. When I did get an autograph from him, for no extra charge he left a voicemail for an acquaintance of mine.

I haven't personally heard anything bad about him.

I have been to three cons that had Mignogna as a guest. I even had Vic sign merch I bought and delivered a message from an old acquaintance of his. As for your second question, I think during one of Mignogna's panels I attended he did say something about people badmouthing him. I can't be sure, though.
Most of the ill-word about him I've seen came from online forums.

I have not been to a con in a while and I do want to go back to one someday.

The only thing that I ever heard was that he was an asshole/creepy Christian dude/homophobe. Those were the only rumors I ever heard, regarding Vic Mignogna. Even if allegations of sexual misconduct were floating on the web, they weren't what he was primarily being accused of, from my experience.

That said, I decided to ignore the rumors, since they seemed few and far in between and met the dude on several occasions. He's incredibly personable, charismatic, and generally a sweetheart. There's a stark difference between meeting a Sean Schemmel (sp?), a Monica Rial, a J. Michael Tatum, vs. meeting a Vic. Sean was bitter, Tatum was an ice queen, and Monica was incredibly fake.

I've had a lot of good fan experiences, one of them including Chis Sabat, which is why that dude gets comparable lines to Vic's. Chris is also the reason I withheld judgement, waiting for someone to come out with more evidence or ... something. Because, usually, you'll see at least one girl coming out of the woodwork, claiming rape. Interestingly, that's not the case here. And Chris is still being very vague in DMs, Monica's story is a copy pasta, and I wouldn't trust Marchi or Jessie Pridemore (who's reputation precedes her, and definitely makes me question everything she says).

I remember attending a convention that invited Todd Haberkorn about several years back. I also remember there were a ton of rumors flying around about he raped someone, and Vic was also included in the conversation. Then again, this was also a Ryan Kopf convention, where non stop rumors fly about him being a pedo because a lot of the people who start this shit are usually asshurt teen ghosters (ie. sneaking loiterers) that get the conventions into trouble. Hell, there was even article on Nerd And Tie that tried to smear him with fucking tax evasion of all things. On a minor note, Ryan Kopf was seemingly alright. He invited me out for free to one of his conventions at a party room he was attending for PR with his group. Guy has a girlfriend/fiance too, so I don't see what the big deal is.

In short, a lot of these rumors are echo chamber bullshit that demands a lot of concrete evidence to back up, and sadly, nothing has come of them. As I've come this far in the quest of learning how this all plays out (immense thanks Kiwi Farmers), I want to see how it will carpet bomb all of the soyfagging "progressive" dipshits who are ruining anime fandom, and will go as far as smear and demand sacrificial scapegoats to feast on before downing the kool aid at their cult gatherings on Shitter. Fuck 'em.

Here's how these people define sexual harassment/assault:

Firstly, this is an online survey, so this more of the fact that 81% of women reported being sexually harassed, not 81% of women that actually are. But that's not really the issue here. The issue here is what counts as sexual assault here.

For example, #13. "Someone physically following you without your permission." How in the fuck is that sexual harassment? How is it sexual if I was just walking on a sidewalk, minding my business, following some random woman who ended up heading the same direction that I was?

Or #8. "Someone repeatedly texting or calling you in a harassing way." How is that sexual? Really? There's a "block caller" option if you really think someone's harassing you.

#1. How is "staring aggressively at someone" sexual? How is honking sexual? Just looking at this list, I've done some of this stuff, and my life isn't being ruined because of them. I've talked to women before about their bosom and sex. They really didn't mind. Nor did they say no. That's not sexual assault/harassment.

It's as though it's a case of "I didn't know it was sexual assault until someone told me it was."

No wonder MGTOW exists. The fact that all of these things, stuff that was pretty much accepted a generation ago, is now deemed to be sexual harassment/assault and life-ruining now. It will haunt people now that this is the norm.

I've been on the brunt end of this shit before, and now it's time to light the short fuse I have.

A lot of rude attitude and bullying dipshit scunts and dangerhairs have been popping out of the woodwork at anime conventions, and it's only growing. I usually go to have fun with friends and get pissass drunk, but I also like going because of the sense of community it presents; spergery and retard behavior not included. However, something sour is in the works. The dangerhair and womyn movements have been growing to where they think everyone wants to fuck them, and this even goes to the cosplay thots. I know that in rule, you never date cosplay thots (outside of STDs and social chains that threaten your social life if they so much as think to yank at if they have an excuse, the worst of them are really fucking flat as hell in terms of personality and being boring unconstructive people), but they are getting not just entitled but slanderous and dangerously don't know how to act like human beings (not just in terms of autism, but like socially backass and can't read people worth to save their own ass). Conventions can attract shitheads, creeps, and douchebags, but wow, the self victimization entitlement and vindictiveness is trying to meet them at their level, and considering how Winn-Lee, Rial and Marche are acting, I'm not in the mood to attend conventions at the moment.

I know that kinda got conspiracy theorist-y and a bit cucky, but I ain't in the mood to have illegitimate children and deal with piss poor attitude dipshits with a superiority complex, especially anime whores and weebs.
