So some people have been digging around and there are now links to an old article circulating about the goings on in the totally peaceful, integrated Muslims.
Turns out, shockingly, that this mosque, like every other mosque in the west and most mosques on the planet, was hosting violent Islamist preachers and some stupid white boys that converted (one of which converted and was radicalized at the mosque that was attacked) got blown up by drones on their terrorism adventures abroad.

"A source said", "Another source said", "A man said", not exactly rock solid journalism there I'd take it with a grain of salt, sometimes it happens that way sometimes they go full retard at home on their couch browsing "r/jihad" like troons or incels.

This killer had a very specific goal, and im not entirely sure he wont succeed at it.

Social engineering is something which has been going on constantly over the past decade or two, and is actually the main reason that events like GG or CG keep happening. People are changing and modifying things to influence large groups of people to accept their specific viewpoint, and everyone who has already been in that space push back to the sudden pointless changes.

In this case however, it wasn't a journalist, teacher, or content creator slowly rewording definitions to change society 'for the better'.
Its someone who has a relatively decent grip on the global social response, and how to heat up tensions. His goal is to cause more conflict, which this individual will likely count any murders as part of his kill count. This will only get worse as the US presidential elections get closer and rhetoric from either side escalates. If we don't see a politically motivated shooting before the votes are sent, I'm actually gonna be completely surprised.

And what sucks most about the responses to this shooting are that there is no best answer. If left witch hunts or excessive legislation go through, it will result in even more turmoil from the target audience the killer is hoping to inspire. And as pointed out, the media is completely irresponsible, mainly due to the ease of pushing out hottakes on wordpress blogs as 'Journalism'. This is something which I personally blame for a massive amount of the tension, as there is almost 0 responsibility or accountability (hope Covington wins those lawsuits).

This killer is going to be an amazing case study for a few years.

You're thinking of the traditional serial killer angle. Sociopaths are pretty much everywhere. Government, CEOs, actors, journalists are at the top of the list. They just have no empathy and are extremely manipulative. We don't know much about this guy's life. But you don't need any of that to be one. Sociopaths aren't always sensational.

He might have been racist, but that wasn't his primary motive. It was to sow pain.

I don't buy that interpretation at all. He very clearly had a goal, stated it openly, and set out to achieve his objective. It wasn't for the lulz in any sense.

Eric Harris in particular wanted to kill as many people as possible, blow cities up, and even hijack planes and crash them into NYC just to cause destruction, chaos, and riots. Elliot Rodger also had delusions of starting as much shit as possible as well.

This was more or less classic terrorism mixed in with the shooter having the background of being a channer. Considering how he's racked up sympathizers across the internet unlike a lot of mass shooters who only get mocked or condemned, this is very different.

And they were deluded. This guy knew the media environment and manipulated it perfectly. He knew everything he needed to stoke chaos. He became that mythical boogeyman they're always crowing about. He stoked the flames and wanted division. He got it. He just wants to watch people die.

I've tried having discussions about this all over the place. Many sites purge even mentioning Christchurch. All videos eventually break, linking to the manifesto (which with how media keeps spinning it, is very important. Amazing how they took the bait) gets you banned, entire subreddits are being nuked from orbit without any regard for content, etc.

I may stick around, I may not, but sweet Christ. This is one of the very, very few places on the internet we're allowed to just... talk.

On one hand I don't want to continue discussing Christchurch as that was his main objective. To get people talking and spread what he did. On the other, there is so much misinformation, especially from mainstream sources, that is being spread to millions. Nobody is fact checking. Fight or flight response, and that is a common occurrence in war times, people unable to fight pile up to try and protect "the weak". Panting like that is more of a response to the adrenaline dump than it is his movement, but even so "combat" is extremely physical. I wouldn't doubt a special forces member is trained to stay cool to avoid getting jumpy, but the breathing wasn't because he was out of shape.

Elliot Rogers & the Colombine kids were the not at all nihilists. They worked on moral suppositions grounded in their victimization caused by others around them. Their manifestos reek with moral grandstanding that we allow victims to feel in western judeo-christian societies (I'm not an edgy atheist faggot, but Christianity upholds victim status, where other cultures are not so keen on sympathizing with victims). These kids believed in the sins others inflicted upon them, and wrote about it in extensive detail. Sure, their moral grandstandings are nothing but insane ramblings from persecuted children, rationalizing their misery, but it is not nihilism.

@Secret Asshole is correct in stating that this Christchurch kid was operating on nothing more but the "optics" and vocabulary that both political sides use to stoke the flames of this outrage culture. There are accelerationists out there who do just want things to get worse and worse, for whatever reason there may be. I am hesitant to call the kid a sociopath, but it definitely is the best assumption to make operating on as little factual information that we have -- that will all be obscured by the misinformation media outlets, and scumbags on twitter continue to perpetuate to the extent that no truth will ever be revealed on the matter anyway.
