I know it's the foundation of the modern fighting game community and by extension the mid-tier primate known as DSP but I don't think there's a worse game to watch than Street Fighter 2. A monkey pressing buttons for an infinite period of time might produce an interesting match in SF2, so I guess that's what DSP is attempting.
TBH, that's why he loves it so much. Listen to his complaints--"I know exactly what to do when (X) happens". In what I imagine is the way he was valedictorian of his high school, he memorized the moves. For all his bitching about "pattern players", that's what he is. He knows what patterns to use with each character against each opponent. When that doesn't work, whether because of actual lag (rare, but does happen) or, more often, him fucking up the moves, he doesn't know how to handle it because he can't just make something up on the fly. Probably why he hates SF4 and SF5 so much--I'm far from an expert at them, but they seem less pattern-based and more reliant on flexible on-the-fly thinking. There are obviously still combos and whatnot, but it's as much a mental matchup as anything.

Didn't you hear? Having to cook and clean up after eating two Cup Noodles in under 30 minutes is difficult for someone with a ten year legacy like Phil's?

The thing about his "cleanup" shit is one of the things I call him on. He makes it sound like he hand-washes dishes, when he has a perfectly working dish-washer built into his kitchen. A simple cleanup would be scrub anything excessive off his dishes and put in the dishwasher, then run it over night. Bam, dishes will be magically clean in the morning. If he wants to be dangerous, he can go a day or two before running it so he doesn't waste as much water or dish soap. But knowing Phil, he'd probably act like he has OCD or blame it on Kat wanting to have an organized home.

DSP said playing Minecraft was stressful the other night, why would eating and calling his folks be any different.

Also the other day he complained about having to cook and then wash dishes. He also said Kat went to work early so he microwaved a frozen lasagna. The family size frozen lasagnas I believe you have to cook in the oven. I assume he had a TV dinner single serving lasagna. That takes 5 minutes to microwave. The only "dishes" involved would be a fork (or possibly a spoon knowing DSP).

Phil is truly working his ass off by running the microwave for 5 minutes and having to put a fork in the dishwasher.

You don't know how the real world works, fucking little kid. So first I had to open the freezer door, okay? Then take out the box the lasagna was in. After all that I had to OPEN THE BOX, but the fucking idiots that made the box put WAY TOO MUCH GLUE and made it almost impossible to open. So after five whole minutes of fighting with the box I opened it. Alright? Then I had to read the instructions on the box, but they had gotten torn from me trying to open it. I DID NOTHING WRONG! There was just too much glue. I did everything correct, okay? Then I was able to finally put it in the microwave. Anybody who says that it's easy is obviously a little kid who still lives with their parents. Obviously it's easy when you have your mom do it for you! ACK ACK ACK

See? This is where you are WRONG! Dave would NEVER use a single fork for lasagna...
...
he would use a spoon.

Siiiigh, why does the lasagna keeps on falling from the tea spoon? They made the consistency bad on purpose so you have to buy a bigger spoon. Really bad authentic Italian food you know what I mean?
Most people would try to eat that with chopsticks, okaaay, but here is a hot tutorial for you. Real Italians use a fork and a knife you know what I mean? Then you cut the lasagna until you get the standard size for a bite, around 1.2 x 1.2 inches, okaaay. And here the hot tip, the way our family does it: You put the cut lasagna on your fork with the knive, it won't fall down and the tasty ingredients stay inside, you know what I mean. Of course you can only see the wall right now as I have to use both hands and made no attempt for a setup snort.

I really miss DSP parodies. It's easy and fun to talk like a predictable limited brainless cockroach. The funny thing is you can usually recognize it's DSP in the first seconds. The voice, phrasing, mistakes, wuuuuaaat.

Kat is going to meet DSP's parents, but when will DSP meet her parents?
We don't know what the situation is with her mom.
  • is she in an institution for her insistence that her child was possessed?
  • is she in prison for the way she treated Kat's younger sister?
  • does Kat still interact with her?
Her dad and mom divorced and he has another family now.

December 21, 2017: DSP talks about his 10 year legacy. He was literally 10 months early.

For those that don't know, DSP's first YouTube video was June 23, 2008 (ear rape warning):

His first "gameplay" video- not including recording gameplay at a convention or tournament- was October 2, 2008 (another ear rape warning):

His first "playthrough" on YouTube was still October 3, 2008 (you know what- no more warnings they all have loud, terrible audio):

His first time doing a boatload of videos on one game (Spider-Man: Web of Shadows) was still in October 26, 2008:

His first episodic playthrough (Dead Space) was still in October 28, 2008 (I don't know if there used to be chapters 1-2):

Never. I don't think he's ever mentioned her family unless it was in the context of Kat having a tough life, just like DSP, which is one of the reasons he was apparently drawn to her and why they allegedly understand each other. Because not getting a wolverine toy when you were 12 is totally the same thing as your lunatic mom believing your sister is a demon and locking her in a closet. There are a few reasons why Kat moved across the country, and one of them was to get away from her family. I'm sure that suits Phil just fine, fewer people to interact with or worry about. I can't imagine Phil making a good impression anyway; probably one of the reasons why Leanna's family wasn't happy about her moving so far away alone with him.

Was this sarcasm, or does DSP really believe that he had a tough childhood? I cannot tell fact from fiction anymore.

If it involves a victimisation complex, I err on the side of sincere belief.

Not just for Dave, but for like 99% of subjects. The ones that aren't are the Terry Davis's who are just fucking insane.

But where does he get the dish soap from now that PandaLee has moved out?
And he's more excited about being able to have east coast pizza and actual Italian food again more than the visit.

It seems to be:
  1. Visiting his fave restaurants
  2. Taking Kat to the zoo
  3. Seeing his parents
In terms of excitement rankings.
On point #2, you mean driving her home?
