Let's assume this is a false flag for a minute. Firstly, why bother? The authoritarian state is chugging along just fine.
This is presuming two things.
- The allegiance of the psyop to "the authoriarian state". It could be any of a number of countries responsible. It could be a country that does not consider the authoritarian state chugging along fine as a positive
- That it is "chugging along fine" in the first place. It is safe to say without security clearance, we have a far less good view of whether that is so.
There could be many different motives, even just as distraction from other news, which would be why this is created to maximally grab attention.
Trump has been a minor roadblock worldwide, at best for that. Inflaming this political landscape as the shooter wrote, threatens the media and left to overplay it's hand. Which at the moment it's doing in New Zealand.
Again presumptions. Why assume it's a leftwing aligned intelligence op? If this harms the left, that might have been the goal. I don't think it does threaten that, I think the media has been playing at being weak and meaningless, while still being a very powerful force. It might well be a strategy to be overlooked in how influential they still are.
And causing some people to stand up and take notice. In his manifesto, and stream, he makes references and jokes about things someone who hung out on imageboards for a long time would only get. Theres no reason to do that if you know the media isn't going to use it, or be aware of it.
Again, depends on the motives. Perhaps it's a way to make sure younger generation pays attention to it; if it was, it worked.
Why ironically endorse Candace Owens and only reference Trump in the idea of a figurehead, instead of endorsing them sincerely, so no one is aware of the media manipulation?
I've already heard people attack candace for being too extreme for the shooter. If anything, it tied Trump closer to the alt-right in the minds of people and that might cost votes. It is so steeped in irony and memery, that both the conclusions that he was longtime grognard or that it is a carefully made quality "hello fellow kids" are plausible.
Why make distinctions about simply ejecting the Muslims from white countries instead of going for maximum damage and calling for the death of Blacks and Jews everywhere? Why write 1412 on his gun when he could've gone 1488 for maximum outrage for a firm connection to Nazis?
I thought his gun said 1414? It said 1412?
Besides that, I'd say that so far there has been little evidence for the spencerian alt-right, the ones that care about 14, but not so much 88. There was that one driver, but if you look at the details, he wasn't out for blood.
Now there is something tying this more moderate depiction to excessive violence.
So this might well give a political cudgel around the world to attack white identitarians.
Like everything in this post it is speculation.
There's too many things that characterize him as a frustrated angry person than the stereotypical "Me love Hitler long time" the media wants.
That's presupposing that the goal would be to just have a hitlerian right wing attack. There are many other possible motives, including just wanting gun control to succeed in new zealand. All the disparate refferences, the scattershot of it, would be a perfect smokescreen for a psyop, as it is very hard to analyse. Which are red herrings? Which are actually important?
I don't know, so I could only speculate.
I do know that the new gun legislation building is a rapid fucking response. And the fact that that was the goal of this supposed right wing shooter puts any defense of it on the backfoot (surprisingly), because pointing that that was his goal is a very logical but unpersuasive method in the face of the emotion a horrific event as this created.
