Let's assume that the 1700 number isn't some weird bug, but the actual number of bots used on the stream today. That means Ralph still had over 3k live viewers.

Not necessarily, I've seen both DSP and Tevin viewbotted before, both instances the bots would come in waves. In Tevin's case he was at his average of 1.2K viewers, he then got botted to 2K, then 2.7K, then a few hundred above 3K... he was getting chunks of around 700-800 viewers spread out by 5mins on average then they left in chunks until he went down to his normal amount. Similar happened to DSP but that was on Twitch and the views he got were in much larger chunks, I could try to find the streams but it wouldn't help much since Tevin doesn't show his own viewcount on stream and DSP is on Twitch which is a different platform and I'm not 100% certain if they'd work the same.

So many directions you could go with this.

1. If they were buying viewbots, wouldn't they want to frontload it, so that more people could find the show for longer when it starts trending?
2. Maybe YT will catch on to large chunks of increased viewership, so it has to come in at a steady pace?
3. Does a steady increase indicate more "organic" viewers?

I have no idea about the specifics of how viewbots work, or any defenses YT might have against them.

If that is live as of right now this is definitely bots, unless 40% of Ralph's audience decided to leave the window open on their browser for the lolz or passed out because the stream made them fall asleep. I've had a chat opened before for other streamers and maybe... maybe 10% would be left watching after this same amount of time has passed.

I think something that would help increase the confidence of the bottling allegations would be if someone with the spare time and autism were to tally up the total amount of donations and the dollar amount (bonus would be if we could add a time stamp to cross reference to a view count); and compare that amount with a comparable show of his, such as his return to youtube with Nick and Dick, which had comparable numbers. If he had 4K watching, I’d expect more of a “feast”, but for the hour I could stomach, it sounded like superchats were few and far between.

I've done my best to lay the graphs over each other, because whoever made those graphs were too dumb to do it themselves and make each show a different color, and to me personally there is nothing odd besides what Senator Hitla pointed out that there were 1700 viewers or so left over. Peak viewership is usually reached earlier than today's show, but perhaps the subject being Shane Dawson kept funneling people in.
