I wouldn't blame the school system here. It's cultural. They are lazy stupid people who desperately want to be thought of as smart and important and noble and are latching on to woke sentiment in a poorly thought out attempt to fill that hole where wisdom goes. However, if they really gave a shit about the various cultures of the world they would pick up a book and learn history. But that is icky and hard. Much easier to just spout whatever they feel and quintuple down on the "sincerity is truth" mantra. Where being informed and holding impartial views actually harms their case so they remain ignorant and are validated by their peers for doing so.
It's learned helplessness, the political philosophy and social movement. Not the schools.
