Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Had a lurk on the PULL thread. Fortunately my hazmat suit was just able to withstand the toxicity.

The link is to these screenshots of SocialBlade or some other site showing an increase in views and subs to both Yellow Flash 2's and Rekieta's channels ("Yellowfalseflag" and "racketball," respectively).

Okay, first off, those graphs are scaled as such so that the low point is always the baseline and the high point is always the highest line on the chart, so pretty much any chart for any channel which has had any sort of increase is going to show a line sloping sharply upwards. Do a search for "how to lie with graphs" and you'll get a whole bunch of hits about how charts and graphs can be fiddled with to distort the information they are trying to convey, and even though it wasn't done maliciously in SocialBlade's case, it's still something to keep an eye out for whenever looking at graphs.

But more simply, yes, their channels have grown because they are focusing on a topic of great interest to a certain community, in an interesting way. How does that mean they don't have legitimate interest in the material they're covering? I get paid to build web sites; does that mean I don't have a legitimate interest in web site development and have no real investment in the success of my clients? Are these people capable of thinking in more than one direction?

So have anyone done the much neded deed of archiving all the 'oh he won't sue he doesn't have a case he'll lose right away' posts from people like Rial and Marchi, and not random PULL members? We could use some material for the inevitable salt compilation.

I hope Null adds a dab emoji so we can put it at the bottom of those when they get sued over this and have to get a real job

Ron Toye finally got a fucking lawyer and will be shutting up about Vic, but not before one more obnoxious smiley.

He paid a lawyer a few hundred dollars to read over the situation, look him in the eye, and tell him to shut the fuck up. I wonder what the retainer fee for this shitshow is, because I bet its huge.
I wonder if they've all collectively shit themselves today.

He's sending mean twitters and videos to his attorney? I'm sure they're going to love being bombarded with utterly irrelevant shit while they fight a unwinnable battle for him. I just wish the world would open up and swallow stupid cockroaches like Ron, how the fuck is he still being a smug little shit when he's about to get his ass blown to shreds? They have to be sitting on actual physical evidence that they keep spouting is true to be this confidant. Unless of course Ron has fed his own attorney his warped view of reality and the poor guy is going to be in for a shock when he sees what's actually been going on. I just hope the guy is charging a retainer and sucks these fuckers dry before jobbing out to BHBH.
Nah I looked him up, he specializes in litigation cases and seems to be a very accomplished trial lawyer who has won millions for people. Not sure why he'd take on a radioactive client like Ron though, I mean did he at least look at the shit that's out in the public zone before saying yes? He seems like the kind of guy to take his win/loss record fairly seriously.

He doesn't look cheap either, can't wait to see the go fund me page for Ron pop up.

The answer to all of the above. Because Ron's Lawyer is charging him $500/hr to watch Nick's videos on the subject. Just at a rough guestimate that would seem to be at least 15 hours of Nick Video. KaChing! And that's before even digging into the merits of the case. And what will he learn from Nick's Video's? That his client is a complete moron, And due to his clients own acts and statements this will be an expensive problem to solve. KaChing! Amd once again, as I keep pointing out, for Ron, this is ALL sunk costs. $7500 just to watch Nick. His bill will be up to $50k by next week alone. And for what? Because he brought a willfull Tort upon himself? And even when appraised of such, he continued to keep doing it. And you can tell these fools still don't get it. They still don't grasp that there is anything wrong with what they did. "But We Say He's A Rapist!!!!"

Oh and Ron is a licensed Mortgage Broker. He's now involved in a TI civil matter. If he lets this go to court, what does that do to his license?

During the stream, Nick stressed that his informant was "very reliable." That makes me think that it's either someone he knows personally, or someone who'd proven themselves to be reliable in different situations.

Look, we all know that Nick's source is the Con owner himself. That was abundantly clear from the communications, quotes and knowledge. He's saying it pretty obviously while specifically not saying it. And the Dam has burst. One of the Con owners has stepped forward. More often then not others will follow suit in this sort of case. #metoo works both ways. The victims of bully's find strength in a crowd just as the bully's do.

I find it odd that Ron goes for the Millionaire's Advocate Forum member as his lawyer. Odd in the sense that this case is a defense against TI, and yet he goes for the most expensive lawyer he could grab. What could Ron possible counter-sue for?

That's true, yeah. My main point was that he wasn't just trusting some random schmuck running a gay ops, but the con owner being his source makes the whole situation more interesting. It shows that even conventions are getting sick of this bullshit.

They will try some counter suit for defamation and workplace sexual harassment. Figure Ron's Lawyer is also Rial's. Last night also proved that there is no fucking way Funimation or Sony will be indemnifying or providing attorneys for these shitheads. Funimation would not be willing to touch those activities.

Noticed on my rewatch of Nick's stream that someone from Anime Vegas sent a superchat asking Nick to get in touch with them, but when I tried to do a search it looks like their last convention was in 2013 and Vic's last appearance was 2010.

Weird, unless the guy runs another con and just never changed his email, but I'm pretty curious what he wanted to talk to Nick about.
That person may or may not still be on those con organiser mailing lists, which would give them some insight into how cons are taking this or any possible collusion being done there.

It would be glorious if we got a huge info dump because some moron forgot to update the mailing list or fucked up and hit "reply all".

Also: Someone needs to contact Shane's hometown. They're missing their local idiot.

Eh, [citation needed]. There could be plenty of people on the inside savvy to what's going on there without being the owner himself; KamehaCon seems to be a pretty sizable con and I assume the owner isn't handling contracting and finding hotel rooms and all the things involved with invited guest relations by himself. I think it's a leap to assume the mole has to be the owner himself going by what we know currently.

That's actually an interesting point you made. Ron did tweet that Nick merely talking about him and Monica is harassment/inciting harassment.

So, he better give those videos and tweets of Nick talking about the case to his lawyer. Otherwise, La Choy would be lying.

Nick is revealing that the "tortious interference" is directly Monica Rial, Soy Toye and Chris Sabbot, pulling the Mark Waid shit with the cons. Apparently with Kamehacon. And according to him Monica and Sabbot are using Toye as their third party point man to try and keep the appearance of being out of the loop.

Nick is going Postal. And seemingly sober.

Vic was under written contract with Kamehacon. Toye, Rial and Sabbot apparently lied to the con owner to get him to break the contract. 5 days ago the owner changed his mind and went to bring back Vic.

so,basically, they did the same thing Sean Schemmel tried to do last year to Peter Kelamis(though Sean's reasons were even pettier because he simply hates other people who had voiced Goku)

The absolute state of Shane.

The fucking hypocrisy for Shane to ask the accuser for "proof" but is perfectly fine for the sexual assault allegations to have no proof behind them.

Shane better hope he had no digital communications with anyone involved in Kamehacon or any of the three principles within the past few days and especially yesterday. Of course any and all communications are going to come out. See Ty Beard and the Amazons know about this now. They are probably already on the phone with the Kamehacon owner. The poor put upon fellow Texan. They will point out the bad place he finds himself in. He is in contract violation with their client. But he is in such state because of these bad actors. Vic will gladly absolve him of the contract dispute, IF he provides all communications and gives an affidavit of what happened. The Kamehacon guy doesn't have a choice. And really would have no incentive NOT to help Vic. Vic hasn't bullied him or interfered with his business. It's pretty obvious that he Con owners have started to doubt the claims against Vic, but are stuck in a hard place with the VA Mafia.

That is very interesting. Worth mentioning to Nick.
