I'm going by what I read on
some PDF on the American Bar's website, but they can't reveal a client's identity without authorization if it's not yet public:

It didn't say that they couldn't reveal that someone
isn't their client, though, so it might leave a loophole. And since Ron already announced it, I think they'd be able to confirm it, if of course it's true (or they could deny it if it wasn't true).
I'm assuming, though, that in almost any case (unless their client specifically directed them to announce something), they could just opt to not answer the question at all and tell whoever asked it to fuck off.
11:00pm Central is his regular time. Last night was just a weird stream. He said something about having family stuff going on, and whatever the family stuff was, it must have wrapped up pretty late because he scheduled the stream to start at 12:30am his time. It's also possible that part of it was that he was waiting and hoping to hear better news from the con, as opposed to "Vic's still not invited and the owner's calling it quits".
