Vani is back with her newest update/ woe is me thread and there is some pretty great chimping out in the comments from one of her asskissers friends in particular. Asskisser was temporarily banned and I initially thought it was for being so obnoxious in Vanis thread but they like to start dumb fights and whine about self harm on twitter so I'm not so sure any more. I like how she ignored the fact the poster was talking about their own disorders because it doesn't fit the narrative that people hating on Vani don't know what it's like to have mental illness

i think people are also forgetting that she started finishing new commissions first for awhile instead of working on the older ones. then stopped that completely.
a lot of people started mentioning that only vanis being attacked for this when other popular artists did the exact same thing. artists like flaive and the infamous starfinder did get shit and it had them jump ship and make new usernames and continuously take commissions. starfinder disappeared completely, but flaive keeps changing names and personas.

Yeah Vani would finish just enough commissions to throw off suspicion and trick people into thinking they finished their shit and to fool dipshits like Fluffycat into going "See?! They totally finish stuff!!"

One more thing I'd like to point out in response to the argument "but they've just been sticking to adopts and merch!" is they've basically funded their merch side of business entirely with stolen money at this point

Holy shit, Starfinder. That takes me back. I always wondered what happened to her. She was notorious for bilking her customers and never following through, despite beware after beware being made about her. IIRC, she was pretty talented for the time, but she's long since been surpassed.
... And it turns out she scammed people by claiming to have cancer and have people pay for her pet's medical bills (the dog was later euthanized, if WikiFur is to be believed) a couple years back. Yikes.

That's kind of rough if she has that; I know she tends to over-exaggerate and go into every single detail about what's going on in her life, but scamming or not, cancer sucks.
I used to talk to her on the regular years ago, she was also making custom leather dog collars. tbh, I think some of her biggest issues is that she tends to overwhelm herself with various large projects and passions before jumping ship to the next thing that sparks her interest; she seems to get tunnel vision in regards to everything that's around her. That and she's absolutely terrible with her finances and really shouldn't be constantly taking in rescues and special needs animals. Or buying photography equipment, expensive printers, etc or anything else she justifies with her fanciful dreams that she never really follows through on. It's a shame, really.
