How large is your backlog? - Flash sales are a plague.

Sperging over console gaming.

I currently am sitting in around 300 unfinished games that I own - most of them purchased through flash sales or digital deals of the week through my consoles. I made a New Year’s Resolution to not add to that number until I get it down below 25.

Backlogs are something that many gamers tend to acquire. How is your backlog looking? Is it managable, obscene, or non-existent?

Fuckin' infinite

I've got loads and loads of modern games but hahaha fuck that i'm playing Final Fantasy IV again

And yes, I am actually playing them through.

I used to have a Steam account with about 250 unplayed games, but I had to abandon it because some legitimately crazy sperg doxed me and was threatening to show up at my house with a knife. It would've been more had I not spent as much as I did on trading cards.

Right now, it's about 30, give or take five.

Lemme run this notion by you:

Play the games you want to play. Have fun in your leisure time. Life's too short to waste on entertainment that doesn't entertain.

Very much agreed

If we all tried to beat every game in our Steam libraries we'd spend the rest of our lives playing through all sorts of trash we ended up with from bundles

If I could get even just a quarter back per Steam game removed from my library, I'd end up selling off about half of my library. And in some cases I'd wind up making a profit

Point taken, but the thing here is not that I don’t want to play what I have. My job is giving me decent income, but not a lot of free time, and now I ended up with more quality gaming in my backlog than time to play through it all. Of course, I could always use some of my paid vacation hours to get through it, but that idea seems kinda lame.

Too big, not even sure why I bought some of the games like the GTA 1 to VC as I don't want to play those games with keyboard and mouse and they don't support gamepad, or just bad pc ports I should have looked into before buying .

Do have a backlog on consoles but it's not too awful compared to my pc one

Right now I'm looking at 98 games to beat. It's actually pretty managable besides the odd Witcher 3 length kind of games. I just keep going back to games I already beat. I could knock out a third of that easily, I just need to force myself to do it. Not even sure why I stopped playing some of these games, fucking love Okami and I trailed off it for no reason.

I've played every game I own except a few freebie/gifted ones on Steam I had no previous interest in

Like 150ish, my steam is full of games that I was suckered into the hype and bought full price (Brink and Civ:Beyond Earth among others).

I encourage you, go and beat Okami.

I have tons of games I want to play, but I don't own them yet. I need to wait until I can build a decent PC. :( My backlog is nonexistent as of now and it makes me sad.

Coward.

5 games (steam) and 10 on GOG. I hardly play anything these days, I bought them all on sale.
