Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I've spent some time mulling this over as well
  • 1. Ty says Iago is not an employee of either studio. Since we are dealing with lawyers Iago could still be a contractor for either or both.
  • 3. This one has me stumped.
  • 4. Ty says Iago should just throw down $200k if he has the net worth he claims.
  • 9. Ty thinks Iago can be held out as a vice-principal of 'his' company.
  • 13. "You have threatened one of my other clients with retaliation simply because he hired me." That doesn't sound like history to me. That sounds like somebody went after haberkorn after he hired vic's lawyer.
Sabat is contractor for funimation and supposedly has hiring privileges on at least some projects. Which makes him vice-principal under texas law. I'm still not convinced Sabat is Iago, but that's the best argument anyone has come up with for someone not an employee that could be argued as a vice-principal of anything.

e: auto formatting fucking with me again.

  1. True, but this still is in conflict with him saying that Iago is operating as vice-president. Basically it's very strange for Ty to pair up 'not with Funimation' and 'vice president of Funimation.
  2. Pay attention to what Ty is saying here. He's saying that because Iago is operating as 'vice-principle' of his company, that company can therefore be dragged into litigation as well. Sabat's part in this isn't required to drag Funimation into this, and it'd be weird for Sabat to be vice-president of his own studio.
  3. 3+4 = someone of reasonable wealth. Vic needed that 100k GFM to get off the ground, and has more money than Sabat. My conclusion is that whoever Iago is they have more money than Vic.
  4. It's entirely true that Sabat could be threatening Todd, and it's entirely possible even if it isn't Iago that he's referring to Todd. It's still notable though that he didn't name Todd even though he could have done so without likely having any problems.
Still, if even one point doesn't align with Sabat, that casts doubt on it being Sabat, and that means it may be someone else. Personally, I suspect his lack of description about Igor means it's someone we already know, while the hints toward Iago are because he hasn't been identified yet. I find it really strange that Ty would describe so much of him and not allow Nick to identify Sabat when everyone already knows about him and his machinations. I can see why Ty wouldn't say it or confirm it, but he expressly prevented Nick from saying the name (though it didn't sound like even Nick was going to)

If MarzGurl knew better than to be a moral crusader, that cat would have still been around.

I hope KratosSpartan101 also spits at you if your dare to come around, MarzGurl. You autistic irresponsible rotten wretch.

Just... I have no words.

She had no business being a cat owner. I'm not saying this to be mean--she couldn't afford to take her cat to the vet and didn't even take CARE of the poor thing when it was sick! Why the hell did she get a cat in the first place?!

Well I think I’ll finally get to sleep early. If I wake up and there’s 30 new pages I’ll know some shit went down.

vice-principal =/= vice president it's a legal term

Ah, right. But is he even vice-principal to his own company? I have no idea what the term would be legally, but surely someone who actually owned the company would be something other than vice-principal, like actual principal or something. There's still the other points as well that make me think there's a mystery player no one's spotted yet, but is known to people who are communicating with Vic, Todd, and other inside guys.

The topic has been decided:

He didn't say Vice President. He said "Vice Principal" which has a very specific meaning under Texas Law. And is not necessarily an official manager, officer or employee of the corporation.

I'm sensing immense amounts of fear of Primarch Ty of the Imbeardium of Man.

Good, the heretics should always fear the Emperor's Chosen.

I rated you for this alone, this is one of the best comments I've seen this entire thread.

Poor kitty.

Let's be real, wherever that cat is now, if it is dead, it's in a better place than MarzGurl's care.

What's his stand,『Bearded Fist』?
Considering his comment last night and the tweet heard around the world, I vote for "Touch"

My mistake. However, there's more things that don't align with Chris, so I'm not willing to say it's him even if it can be argued that he might fit 7+1. If he doesn't fit it all, it has to be someone else. And I still think that he fits very well into the position of Igor, who's doing someone else's dirty work thinking that he'll be protected by a lawyer he won't actually get.

yes aware just not sure if its its ok to be representing one client and another client your representing is giving you information to help the first client is a no no or not

It could be a conflict but it isn't in this case. Unless he were using that information to the detriment of Todd, the ethical issue hasn't arisen. IMO Todd also wants to see the same people burned to the ground that Vic does, but has decided (at least for the moment) not to pursue action in his own name.

Yes! This is the one where he said he played racquetball and lifted weights with Chuck Huber. At 23:55.

Just a disturbing thought about Huber:
  1. Huber is one of the VAs cowed into supporting Marchi's tweet by Mafia Don Sabat and "the family."
  2. Huber played racquetball with Vic to lower his guard and try to fish info from him.
I hate to think like this, but if Huber was one of those VAs who remained silent then I would think better of him.
But he didn't. He came out in support of Marchi, so I'm not sure if he was just paying lip service or legit believes her.

And for those who don't get how Sabat is a vice principal, he supposedly has hiring and firing authority at Funimation. At least as far as Dragonball goes, and possibly beyond that.

That's enough to make him a vice principal of Funimation under Texas law. He doesn't even have to be an employee.

EDIT: Spelling.

If it is Sabat, holding him out as a vice-principal of Funimation would expose Funimation to Gross Negligence for every single thing Sabat has done. That would be why proving he is a vice principal would matter. Mignimation isn't entirely a joke if that's how this goes down.

When Ty says 'his' he mean the company Iago represents as a vice principal. If he was the owner of the company proving he is a vice principal would be a nonissuse.

Well, everything he's done as vice principal. But more importantly, it also opens the corporation itself to exemplary (punitive) damages under Hammerly Oaks v. Edwards.

Seriously? She decided that acting like a total sperg online was more important then taking care of her sick cat?!

Why is practically everyone associated with Channel Autism a completely fuck awful human?

A lot of anime fans like to own cats; some friends of mine love having pets in general. But for most, cats. She thinks she can e-beg her way through life and still live the "otaku dream life", like Allison Cooke. Only in Kaylyn's reality, she is some deluded hack internet media star who got fame only by piggybacking off of using other media and doing "reviewing", and doesn't do much except sell her body for food testing and medical experimentation and leeching off of her husband. Then if worse comes to worse, she'll just pocket whatever comes her way into Patreon. Steady job and income? What's that? Of course, knowing people like Kaylyn, she's likely the dumbass who doesn't develop any skills or talent of her own to make her way in life and continues to wallow in whatever chimerical tard bullshit her deluded ass assumes what reality is about and rots her brain on electronic media all day.

It makes me sick the worst of anime fans like her plague the world, and I've heard many stories. God forbid if this bitch has kids.

Don't feel to bad, the cat realized just who Marzgurl was, and took the easy way out.

Not the most reliable source, but googling their net worth has Sabat at worth $8-9mil and Vic at $4mil. And Sabat is ten years younger while Vic is close to retirement age.

I will say the only known key player I've found bragging about how much money they have so far is Toye.
