Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Change the Chanel Controversy last year. Marzgurl seemed to come out on top....
I haven't kept up with it since it happened, but i've read that CA and the Walkers are back to the same metrics from before CtC, while everybody else who participated (except maybe Ellis) are DOA.
Now, come on. We need to be better than "fake but accurate." This thread already has a problem where things that start out as clearly-labeled conjecture gets repeated enough that people start thinking it's fact. If Hanleia wasn't someone whose signature request got rejected, then we need to know that and stop echoing it.
While true, Allison has been on twitter, semi-anon, and anon boards for years spewing Vic is a homophobe rhetoric so it wouldn't surprise me if she had made that statement. Her going DFE mode leads me to believe she's said something she shouldn't have, but your right that it shouldn't be repeated until we can get a confirmation. Unfortunately it would probably take a IT forensics team at this point.

Anyway I think you asked for suggestions on 'what were you thinking.gif' how about Nick (normal face?) looking -> change to eyebrow raise face looking <- then hold for frames or have it change to a higher eyebrow raise.

EDIT: I don't think it's papers, last stream Ty said it would still be awhile because he wants to nail them. I don't see anything in the RSS feed AnOminous provided I'm guessing Todd was threatened again or more fresh attempts at convention TI after Nicks / Ty's latest streams.

It would be nice to hear some good news pertaining to Vic for a change. I'm all for Nick and Ty smashing Sabat, Rial and Shanes chair, but some positive movement regarding Vics personal situation would be a great change of pace as well. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a healthy dose of both.

Vic seems to be in good spirits all things considered, he's obviously not talking about it much but he's still doing his usual livestreams for his fans. As Ty said he's stronger than people give him credit for, I doubt many people could've handled the backstabbing and shitstorm he initially suffered without losing their shit. Now he just needs to keep doing business as usual and let the lawyers do what they do.

Agreed. If you want to hear from Vic himself, check out his Tuesday stream on the Unlocked app.
Or wait for someone to upload them on YouTube.

I forget if someone has mentioned this or not, but Anime Matsuri invited Reuben Langdon:

Shocking that Vic and Reuben have become hot commodities, isn't it?
It's not like standing up to Twitter mobs have garnered support for them, right?

I think this is the stream from this week.

Wait do you think Iago would be that stupid to go after Todd again?

Yep, I absolutely do. See, he can claim otherwise, but I'm willing to bet that he's a lot more scared then he's letting on. And when people are scared, they do some really dumb shit.

He was dumb enough to go after Todd AFTER Ty's announcement that they were working together. He tried to bully the head VA for one of Funi's most popular shows, Fairy Tail. To many fans, Todd IS Natsu, and you can tell that he loves working on the show. (There's even video somewhere of Todd getting a tattoo of the FT clan logo.). If they just fire Todd and try to recast Natsu, fans WILL notice, including the ones that have absolutely NO idea that any of this shit is happening. I could see Sabat bringing that up as a way to get Todd to drop Ty.

100% speculation, but if court papers were filed today, it is now public record and Ty could name names.

Doubtful, but I want to be optimistic

My guess is that one of the conventions has passed along emails, text messages, or some other form of recorded communication from one of the chuckle fucks involved in this shit show that's either indicative of their vile behavior or just outright illegal. Ty knows that the more he gets some of this into the open, the more it's going to cause anyone who might be liable in some way to try to get on the side that's going to prevail in court. After the last stream, someone probably contacted his team and gave them some more ammo to do it again. Rinse and repeat and this case becomes easier and easier and maybe even exposes some criminal behavior.

Do it. Waste those mother fuckers boys. I dare you.
But I will temper my expectations as this could just be me getting too excited.

Edit: spelling is hard.

So while you're all waiting for the next episode of DragonLaw L to start, if anybody wants to see much younger Amanda Winn Lee acting like a drunk shirtless thot (which allegedly got her soft-banned from many anime cons), I HAVE DELIVERED THE GOODS (in her own thread).

EDIT: Corrected link.

Ty is back again after talking about how Iago was going after his other client (Haberkorn).

My working theory is whoever Iago is went after haberkorn again, or ty has gotten some Bar complaints now. Now nicky rackets is just some guy running a small country law firm in Minnesota and drinks on youtube as a hobby. Ty on the other hand is a senior partner of a law firm with serious political connections. I sure hope Mister Soye was not dumb enough to send a complaint about the Beards professional conduct too.

Texas courts have their own thing. I don't know what county it would be filed in though. Texas has 254 counties. It's somehow more ridiculous than California, despite not having the same population.
What's fun is we like to have cities and counties named after our war heros but opposite sides of the state from each other, like Austin and Houston counties are over 100 miles away from the cities of Austin and Houston; or Bowie Texas is 400 miles from Bowie County which is where Texarkana is located.

Unlikely as that would be a gift to Ty and he'd be happy about it rather than pissed off. I think it's more inclined to be something he said in the last stream that he'd regard as "personal" - so either going after Todd or going after Ty/his firm.

Let's face it, these idiots are stupid enough to go after BHBH as a whole and have no idea what happens when you try to smear a law firm and they fight back.

Everybody dress up nice, we may get another shout out from the beard!

I can’t get over just how nice they (Nick/Beard) are together. Beard’s love of his daughters, and the genuine respect, support and mentoring whenever he talks about the Amazons is the perfect antidote to Kick/ren.

I was wondering why Nick made the announcement he would be glad to hear any assault stories, even if they involve Vic, and give full confidentiality.
I don't know if anyone will get in touch with him to tell their stories, but wouldn't that be great. :optimistic:

That was what I thought, too. Unless maybe the person who settled fed Ty some really juicy info on just how scummy the other conspirators are...

My theory was that Iago tried to mess with Todd again, but I think the idea that he might've filed ethics complaints against Ty has merit too. Wait and see, I guess. ⏳

I think it's something that's good for their case, but I suspect that it's just something utterly vile. They've alluded to the kind of slander that these idiots have been engaging in for the past several months. If I found out that they'd made up some really heinous allegations against my client I'd be righteously pissed off.

At some point one of the conventions is going to flip on those idiots in order to avoid any legal liability, especially if they broke a contract. They have an easy out since they can at least feign some ignorance and innocence, and could ask to be indemnified if they were to provide testimony or evidence. Maybe it's early, but as more information comes out, people are going to want to distance themselves from Iago and Igor.

You really have to be completely exceptional if she honestly believes people will actually believe that happened. Why would he want to risk any kind of ethical breech while representing his client just to get a few bucks from being on a Youtube show? Can she honestly not come up with anything more clever than that?
