Now guys. Let's all be nice to Nick here.

This is his first time playing a DMC and he's doing way better than DSP would (and Nick is actually entertaining).

He needs to break out Life Force and show these youngin's how it's done.

Monica is seemingly the absolute worst player for this. She gets her retraction letter and answers it on Twitter. At every turn she continues the defamation. Openly opts for TI while the lawyers are watching. At every step she does the wrong thing.
I wonder how much is ego and how much is her foolishly thinking that either Sabat or Toye are going to get her (very real) problems to go away. Boy, wouldn't it be funny if Sabat doesn't follow through with his threats and leaves Monica twisting in the breeze?

So Monica's up to 2 cancelled cons in the last month or so... I know if I was running a convention who I wouldn't invite

Considering these studios consider personal appearances at cons to be almost part of the VA job in the first place, I know who I'd never hire for another job of any sort again. Talk about career suicide.

So she supposedly doesn’t feel safe at the con, but will still go to the same city and set up a “signing” somewhere close by.

Where there will actively be less security.

A+ thought process.
By doing the whole signing near by crap she made it pretty obvious it isn't for security and that she just wants to spite the con owner while still getting money
Now let's wait and see if Sabat chooses to confirm the con harassment to everyone or backstab rial to save face lmao

Considering she and her conspirators threatened to breach contract before this, there is no way to escape the conclusion that this is simply retaliation.

This has to be the dumbest decision she could make. Even though she's committed to roleplaying that she's so totally truthful about this claim she can't prove and therefore her sincere behavior won't help her in court, this is the worst choice she could have made. Not only did she light her money on fire and signal her unreliability to other cons, she's just lent weight to the claims that she threatened to pull out of the con if Vic came. Which Twitter might try to excuse with their 'common sense' arguments, but is just TI w/contract.

Shame she's burning her con bridges. She could really use that extra money for her upcoming legal trouble.

I'm almost 100% sure Sabat is going to go to Kamehacon. He's got to maintain the veneer that he's not really involved in kickvic and is the civil party. If he drops out and leaves Kamehacon hanging he's as good as confirmed that he was involved in the TI. And he has to know Vic isn't fond of him, so giving Ty a reason to turn his searchlight on him is a poor choice.

Nick saw "Air Hike" and had to ponder over whether it was an H or a K

Man, it's really refreshing to see a person not familiar with Japanese tropes, and isn't really a gamer, playing DMC.

I forgot how connected to the con it was, but I remember tickets for a tour of Okratron 5000 (which were something like $550 a pop) were sold out. If he ditches the con but still does the tour (which if I remember right doesn't get you a ticket into the con proper) it could be a real slap in the face to Kamehacon.

Seriously just have him play a Ghost n Ghouls/Goblins game. No real cheat codes and the game craps on you as your losing.

This makes me think... I wonder what sort of financial arrangements are made in a typical con contract? Is there a fixed fee, or would the con get a cut of the money that guests make (on merch/signatures/photos)? Aside from just the appearance fee, the con would have a legitimate claim of damages if she sidestepped some contractual obligation to give them a cut by breaking contract and holding a signing nearby.

And to think that she isn't even most Dragon Ball fan's first pick for Bulma. It feels like she's really hurt her career here. The only cons I could even see considering booking her would be those ran by SJW lunatics just like her. Anyone else would just try for Tiffany Vollmer.
That's not even mentioning the damage this does to her case.

Gotta love old Konami
I'm still a fan of Jackal myself...

Speaking of which....Ty and the Amazons are coming to Kameha Con, yes?

This is just conjecture, but what if Rial avoided the convention to keep herself from confronting Vic's lawyers? I'm pretty sure by the time the convention comes, which is about three weeks from now, the lawsuit papers would be done. I mean, she just made a decision she probably should regret, so maybe this is plausible.

Considering that she's set to show at Sakura Con.....the SJW lunatic narrative has some merit.

Seems like it'd be even more embarrassing to be served outside the con than inside it.

If she's going to be nearby anyway they can just send over a process server. She would probably throw a shrieking meltdown.

Monica sets up her own personal meet'n'greet somewhere else off con grounds. As she goes through guests, one of them comes up. Twentysomething, cosplaying as Bulma. Monica is happy to see a fan cosplaying her character. The fan hands her the item to get signed.

It turns out to be a nice thick envelope with BHBH's stamp in one corner :story:

This but with Ty cosplaying as Bulma, Sailor Bubba-style.
