Let me know if I missed any. Law nerds, technically none of these people have broken their contract until after the con comes and goes and they don't show up, right?

I'm pretty sure they don't break the contract until they don't show up, just like you don't get an absence from work until you miss your shift and they don't breach Vic's contract until they have the convention and he's not invited.

However, it's pretty self-defeating to announce they're not coming, get their details yanked from the site so their fans don't go, and then show up at the last minute anyway. Less self-defeating than getting sued, but still dumb.

"I have proof" Is it another story about him pulling your hair? Seriously what's the point of saying you have proof when you're too chickenshit to show?

Don't you know she 'surrendered it to the authorities', but no one can find the police report or any registered offenses or charges against Vic? Maybe the 'authorities' is that Funimation investigation that came back inconclusive?

Seems smart to upgrade TI with contract and defamation to assault. Can't see how that'd go wrong at all.

Interesting how his tweet is almost identical to that Monaka's tweet, except smart enough to use singular pronoun instead of plural. That doesn't make it look like a form tweet handed out to them as part of a civil conspiracy to interfere with Vic's business and contracts at all.

Lauren and Kaylyn are really melting down right now
"You idiots just don't get how this industry works! It's normal practice to break legal contracts and tamper in the affairs of others! How dare you expect any of us to act in anything resembling a professional manner! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

You know, for someone who is supposedly deeply entrenched in the culture, I sure seem to struggle finding many pics of Lauren yucking it up at cons (particularly from that one racist period in her life she likes to pretend away) or, really, any stories from her attending them.

I know I'm late, but I just can't get over the idea that she thinks people would go to a DB-specific convention, get autographs from Broly, 8 different Vegetas and 5 Gokus, Gohan, Trunks, and all the rest... and then say "Wait, what about BULMA?!" And go out of their way to go to another event just for Bulma #4

The only ones who will are the maybe a dozen or so danger hairs who have been REEEEing about Vic for weeks. Literally nobody else will care.

If I didn't know better I'd say it feels like DDOS.
In that case in the words of Lord Helmet "Keep Archving Asshole!!!!"

You may want to look a little further down on that thread....

Wait? Marzgurl has been deported from Texas? They've figured out some way of preventing her from returning? Bravo Texas! I think statewide real estate values just went up with that news.

Marzgurl is probably dumb enough to think that if she doesn't physically show up in Texas they can't serve her with a lawsuit.

She's probably gonna spontaneously combust from pure rage at some point

I legit had to check who Grelle voiced in Dragon Ball. No idea he was the Grand Priest:

To quote Mans1ay3r's Commander Shepard:
"I hope you kick yourself in the balls on the way out the door."

Wine Mom sure is getting a lot of mileage out of pretending she's so much smarter than Drunk Youtube Lawyer.

It's something called anticipatory breach of contract, and it basically means that the contract is already breached, but the damages just haven't been realized yet.

For example, the con could immediately start trying to sell the guest's table to someone else, even though the signed contract guaranteed the guest a table. That would otherwise be breach of contract by the con, but because the guest has already announced that they are going to breach, the con is allowed to act as though the contract has already been breached. They could even file suit immediately.

If the guest tried to change their mind and claim that the contract was still valid, it would depend on whether their table was even still available. If the table was still available, the guest could possibly retract their statement and fulfill their obligation under the original contract, but if the table had already been sold, it would be too late. (Selling the table to someone else would help to mitigate, i.e. reduce, the damages caused by the other party's breach, however.)

Anticipatory repudiation is a thing.
