Also, why is someone trying to claim he's a failure of a lawyer? Did I miss something about nick or is it just desperate flailing?
A meme on the #KickVic side is that Nick's not a real lawyer, or not a good one. This dates back to his coverage of Meyer v Waid. Part of this came about because initially they couldn't find Nick's info on the Minnesota bar's online database (though to be fair, neither could I the first time). Also, he's only been practicing for a few years, only practices in a relatively rural part of Minnesota, is apparently relatively affordable, and so on - basically, he's not a big-city, high-priced attorney. (On the other hand, Beard and friends are big-city, high-priced attorneys, and they discount them too.) They also apparently think the fact that he now has a successful YouTube career somehow invalidates his real-world experience as a lawyer.
That was me. Here's the post. Can't take credit for it. Someone already made the joke after hearing Nick's story about butchering a turtle he found on the road for his dinner.
But I'm probably just going to keep calling it tortoise interference because it tickles me.
Also, wasn't Avenatti a brave warrior for justice for women just a couple weeks ago? How things change.
